  1. Can somebody please tell me what "mansplaining" is?? Because it sounds like a word somebody made up.

    1. @mrmattimation I think it's when a man tells a woman how to do something in a way that's like "here allow me to do it because I'm a MAN"

      1. @tiffany So... It's a word somebody made up. It sounds like something a four year old invented. DID a four year old invent it?

        1. @mrmattimation Every word is made up son

          1. @tiffany Yeah but most words aren't made up by smashing the word "man" into an already existing word to get probably the most hilariously bad word in recent history.

    2. @mrmattimation It's where you attempt to justify the existence of the patriachy. Or at least, that's what it used to mean. An example would be a man saying "Men deserve to get paid more because they can't get pregnant"

      1. @ceruleanspark Surely a better word could be used than "mansplain". I think "misogyny" is a better word, because that's what it is.

        1. @mrmattimation Mansplaining implies couching your objectionable/pro-patriachy statements in PC/non-inflamatory ways. All mansplaining is misogyny, but not all misogyny is mansplaining

          1. @ceruleanspark The ONLY thing about the word "mansplain" that bothers me is the word itself, not the definition. It actually sounds like it was made for satirical purposes.

      2. @ceruleanspark Google defines it in a similar way to Tiff, though. I think the word has changed meanings now. http://pny.lv/jcv7
