Honestly I think something with "toon" in the name sounds kinda dumb, like something you'd find in a newgrounds forum.

@thelastgherkin Well, don't use either? Some pun or perhaps something related to western animation that doesn't involve a word that explicitly states it. I just know that the moment you put "toon" on the name we'll have 400 matts fresh out of newgrounds flooding here and posting bad taste flash animations.
-
@nerthos I'm not hearing any suggestions
-
@thelastgherkin I'll send anything I can think of your way.
-
It's ironic because the J stands for Jonouchi
-
@nerthos nice try pal but my cartoons haven't existed in SWF format since 2012
-
@mrmattimation You still make them in flash though
-
@thelastgherkin Cerulean's right. That's why I've been mostly sticking towards titles with "Cartoon" in them. "Cartoon" tends to heavily imply western, at least in my experience.
Also @nerthos I don't personally have any issue with "toon". On one hand yes, it's a bit silly sounding, but remember that the site is currently named after a colorful flying horse. -
@actualrudolph I'm just saying it's important to make it evident it's aimed towards people who like to watch cartoons, not animation enthusiasts, because otherwise it'd be hard to get a conversation going here for most of us as it'd be super-specific. Like if I started getting technical with sword types, how many people would get what I'm talking about, or even care?
-
@nerthos Hm. When you put it that way I both understand and agree.
