I’m so FrankerZing mad that “Trump Postpones Trip to Greenland After PM of Denmark Refuses to Sell Greenland” is a headline I have to read, REPORT ON THE ACTUAL Potato KnishesING NEWS, god I hate cable.

@mrmattimation Would you be less or more mad if they did not report on cuckoo news like that ?
Actually, why get mad at all ? It is not like you are in any way in control.Wednesday, 21-Aug-19 08:18:15 UTC from web-
@drinkingpony I don’t care about the President’s fake-ass distraction, the only reason he announced an intent to purchase Greenland was to distract from the fact that he’s completely reversed on a gun control bill after a single meeting with Fairfax County’s most well-funded terrorist organization, and the media is playing right into his tiny hand.

@mrmattimation But democrats HATE trump. Why would they play along in a distraction that is so obvious that you figured it out.
Also who in the name of collusion itself are you calling Fairfax County's most well funded terrorist organization ? I tried googling it and turns out the "Women for Trump National Day of Training" is tomorrow. http://rainbowdash.net/url/875091
I highly doubt you meant that.Wednesday, 21-Aug-19 14:27:56 UTC from web-

@mrmattimation And I am supposed to know that the NRA's HQ is in Fairfax ?
That only makes it more interesting though. WHY do the Democrats allow the news to talk about Greenland. If I am to believe you they are 'reversing' a bill, which sounds horrible.Wednesday, 21-Aug-19 15:39:49 UTC from web-
@drinkingpony Nobody wants to be the organization that "fails" to report on a thing. Trump is loud enough that people will find out he's being absurd, and ask why the news is ignoring something so obvious. So someone is gonna report on it, which now means everyone's got to, and by the time they're done covering their butts, there's nothing left for the real news.

@scribus I am not sure if I follow. You're saying that some people are covering their butts ? So I decided to piece some things together.
Eventually I found http://rainbowdash.net/url/875093 , which means that the news is already out there.
You say that by the time 'they' are done covering their butts, there's is nothing left for the real news.
But there is for the Greenland story ? But THAT is getting wall-to-wall coverage.
So again, why are the traditionally liberal and extremely liberal 24 newscyclists outlets not doing their "Gun control good" spiel instead of "Denmark good, greenland not for sale, small-hands-guy-bad"Wednesday, 21-Aug-19 17:36:49 UTC from web-
@drinkingpony I just think it's a seriously unbalanced noise-to-signal ratio and it drowns out any reporting on the real issues.
Wednesday, 21-Aug-19 18:03:51 UTC from web-
@scribus Yes, I think so too. But someone or something is orchestrating.

@drinkingpony Democrats don’t control the media, contrary to what conspiracy theorists will tell you.
Thursday, 22-Aug-19 00:58:59 UTC from web-
@mrmattimation I never said they were, I said that it was stupid of them to not exploit the situation and would rather follow the hype-train of Greenland when there is some proper gains to be had in another story.
The conclusions I can pull from what I just stated are quite limited. But if you can tell me that I am forgetting one key element then I'd love to hear it.Thursday, 22-Aug-19 11:42:08 UTC from web-
@drinkingpony You asked why the Democrats "allow" the news to talk about Greenland. I don't know what country you live in, but we don't have state-run media here. Nancy Pelosi can't just call up CNN and say "hey, stop talking about this".
Thursday, 22-Aug-19 18:12:22 UTC from web-
@mrmattimation The country I am in does not have wall to wall 24 hour newscycles. The things that are spoken about are usually about what proper journalists think that the common man needs to hear about. Especially when it comes to democratically elected officials that are trying to spin a story into their benefit.
"Journalism is what we need to make democracy work" - Walter Cronkite.
Why do you think I am having such a hard time wrapping my head around the story you are trying to sell ?Thursday, 22-Aug-19 19:00:29 UTC from web
