    All of my cartoons just start with jokes now. By which I mean they start with a joke on a page, and then I try to figure out how I can get TO that joke, narratively.

            @scribus The biggest bummer is that I was planning to meet someone out there who I've known for like three years but have never met in person, she's in Colorado and I'm in Virginia and we both thought we were gonna get to finally meet each other at VidCon. Now we're both stuck where we are for the foreseeable future.

      @mrmattimation Also, "Work backwards from the punchline" is like the one piece of advice I remember from this cartooning book I got back in 2nd grade (which, Jesus, was seriously 19-damn-90). That, and "If you can't draw hands, put them in their pockets."
