    A longtime cashier at my new store just gifted me a hand-crafted Dominican cigar to welcome me to the store. Is this normal? Is that a thing old people do?

      @zeldatra People were always handing out cigars on TV back in the 80s, but it was usually for a new baby or some kind of class warfare power play thing.
