  1. I guess you could say Homestuck Act 6: Act 4 was...over in a flash.

    1. @ceruleanspark >"I bet it will all just be quick flashes and cuts of things happening; that's basically what the flashes are now." >The flash is nothing but really slow pans

      1. @thelastgherkin It was however, a series of disconnected events with little/no explanation.

        1. @ceruleanspark Something something backpedalling.

          1. @thelastgherkin Pointing out the elements of my statement that remain correct is not backpedalling because it doesn't actually involve me changing any of my opinions.

    2. @widget Correction: Ew, Flash player . Flash as an animator's tool is quite useful.

      1. @zeldatra If it doesn't crash.

        1. @omni Interstingly, older versions are more stable than newer.

          1. @zeldatra There are so many examples of that. Windows Live Messenger is another good one. Or, hey, Firefox (though that seemed to have been getting a bit better the last few versions).

            1. @omni Increasing complexity. WLM was rock solid when it was MSN messenger because all it did was send and receive text messages. Now it does all this extra crap and cross network messaging, it runs like bananas.

          2. @zeldatra pretty much all of them are prone to crashing. I don't think any of them more than others.

            1. @abigpony Believe me, I've tried everything from MX to CS6. 8 and CS3 run best.

              1. @zeldatra only one i've not tried is cs4 and 8 was the only one that did crash for me. It seems to be a matter of chance, though.

    3. @widget Isn't that less specific?

    4. @widget That's why you export to a different program and finish in there.

    5. @xrevan86 WLM links to Yahoo messenger, and has an on-again-off-again relationship with facebook chat. And of course now there's this whole merger-with-skype mess that's introduced more networking complexity to it.

    6. @xrevan86 It's a bit of both. WLM the app is being closed, but Skypes chat features have been migrated to WLM's network backend. (The VOIP features remain p2p based)
