@nerthos People who live in the US, where World War 2 history is heavily taught, (because it was the US's last unambiguously "moral" war) and people like myself, who live in western europe and who have either relatives who were literally involved, or whom have physically visited the sites of the various atrocities are more attuned to the issue, and as a result, somewhat more sensitive about it.

@nerthos I thought like that for a long time. Visiting a concentration camp and the mass grave site at Omaha beach and really connecting with what actually happened to real human beings was what drove the "we can't ever let this happen again" thing into me personally.

@ceruleanspark I'm pretty sure it'll happen again. What really annoys me is this idea of branding nazis as the ultimate evil when they were no worse than other historical groups, and completely ignoring any and all good things azi germany did, be it technology, architecture, etc. Granted, they did f*** up big time, but they weren't /entirely/ bad.

@widget They're not exactly an understanding and tolerating faction. Also when you go and build a house in a neighborhood where everyone is a vocal supporter of a different religion and you start violently preaching yours, you can't expect anything but more violence. I'm basically fed up with both factions, but more so with Israel because they try to order other countries that have literally nothing to do with their conflict. Some time ago Argentina signed some minor agreement with Iran, I don't remember what exactly it said, and the embassy of Israel went all berserk like "YOU'RE HITLER AND I HATE YOUR COUNTRY"
