    2. @vt3c Wowee. All under my favorite Windows-based brand, too. Too bad I'd rather not pay a thousand dollars for a laptop.

      1. @mrmattimation Weren't you considering a MacBook at one point

        1. @flamingpandaomg No.

        2. @flamingpandaomg Actually, saying "no" is a lie. I briefly looked at MacBooks for a few minutes before concluding that the dual-core processor, 4 gigs of RAM, and Intel Integrated graphics were not worth the $1199 starting price.

          1. @mrmattimation I swear you mentioned it once. Hell, it may have been someone else. My memory's really Potato Knishty anymore.

            1. @flamingpandaomg My next desktop will be an iMac, if that's what you were thinking of.

              1. @mrmattimation That's probably it. I just don't approve of Apple's pricetag.

                  1. @ceruleanspark To be honest I'd love to move to Linux but I don't really want to re-learn an OS, and I'm not a massive fan of losing out on a lot of software I've been used to using.

                    1. @flamingpandaomg There is not much of a learning curve with Linux actually. It's incredibly intuitive (depending on which distro you choose, that is.) install gentoo

                      1. @scoot See I don't really know the difference between the linux distros. The only one I'd ever touched even for a moment was Ubuntu.

                        1. @flamingpandaomg The differences aren't that tremendous when you look into them. Ubuntu is the one I tend to prefer because it's very easy to use. I've heard good things about Mint though, which is pretty similar to Windows

                2. @flamingpandaomg Understandable. It's a pretty big premium to pay when you could get a Windows PC with the same specs for half the price.

          2. @mrmattimation Haha. My computer is more capable than that and it cost me $880 or so. Three years ago.

            1. @redenchilada That's exactly why I didn't consider the MacBook Pro for more than a few minutes.
