@rnbwdashiswin And why did you figure that RDN had perished by now ? Whether through competence or something else, the owner is awesome
*looks up who the owner is*
Oh, CeruleanSpark. Well that means RDN will probably remain here until the cows come home.
Not sure if that is how you use that proverb. -

Apparently someone compiled Breaking Bad into a single ( 126 hour long ) movie. I wonder where I can download that.

@pennyfortheguy So... you're a Mastodon user now?

@daggsy @nerthos @takebatcaveakenji I wasn't talking about the "films"

@nerthos @maiyannah Actual footage of the rent, or invest on a plaque set on a tangent from it while keeping the mass effect combat system, that'd be ideal. One of the guys who put him down the other extreme. My father often gets upset because of the old systems for no reason, I'm not destroyed by it or not, now it's only the pink, yellow and red ones are the constant paper ancient ones.

They are putting batcaveing (((Denuvo))) in kiwiing indie games now!

@nerthos And this is why every Ubisoft game has a stand in for radio towers. Some executive has a batcaveing fetish, I swear.
-
@maiyannah "Put some radio towers in there"
"But mr. smithberg this is a scuba diving sim"
"It's my money and I want to see big, long, thick dangling radio towers in the game, so put the damn radio towers in there or I'm hiring someone who will"
-
-
@nepmango That's the reason they're bringing him back to D3 not knowing how to keep the game afloat. the Necromancer was the best.
-
@nerthos It seems like companies, names, brands, get to a point where they're so popular people can't let go when they do start FrankerZting things up, so they have no impetus to keep being good. Do you think they'd keep churning out kind of tatty games, if people ran off immediately if it was kiwi? Naw, they try to convince themselves its not that bad, because they don't want to let go.
-
@maiyannah It's a problem in both sides: companies abuse that good will and trust, and customers give that for way too long. If a game is crap after five were good, yes, buy the next one hoping it was just a slip up. If that second game is bad too, more so if it's bad along the same line, don't buy a third and specially not on launch day, instead give it a few weeks until the hype cools down and you have unpaid reviews up for it and can know what you're dealing with. That both keeps your money safe and forces companies to deliver good stuff since a stall of two weeks on the sales boom of a game is an absolute monetary catastrophe.
-
@nerthos And thus has Nerthos explained why I don't like Obsidian, haha.

Pretty sure I'm going to have piles of "discrimination" complaints for not going easy on idiots just for being idiots. If I could go through school without putting any effort into it and still have good grades, anyone who should be in it can do it with a bit of dedication too.

Signing up for classes to get certified as a professor. Good hours, long vacations, and I get to do work that is not taxing in the least to me. Pretty sure students will hate me for being one of the few to give actual content though.

"There is a paraphrase of something Ho Chi Minh allegedly told to the French in the 1940s which I really like. It goes like this:” we kill some of you, you kill a lot of us, and then we win”. That is how a war with the DPRK would probably play out. I call this the “American curse”: Americans are very good at killing people, but they are not good at winning wars."

I forgot how many bugbears I had with Diablo II. Especially the constant going to town to dump inventory or the kiwiING GUYS WHO RESSURECT GUYS QUICKER THAN I KILL THEM WAAARGH
-
@gameragodzilla A lot of them want to come off as more complex then they actually are, because learning the complex systems is part of the appeal of roguelikes to fans of the genre.
-
@maiyannah I guess I only ever experienced the bad versions. lol
