  5. "It is actually really sad to hear accounts of harassment in VR when it is such a new technology" ... I had to take a quad take on that to verify if I heard that right.

  9. @scribus Stockpile on wrong things to do at wrong times and canned laughter and you got yourself a new sitcom :)

  10. @tiffany I could make a joke here on how 9/11 did cause Bush 2 to happen but then I myself would agree that I would deserve to get shot for that joke. Arguably that joke would be way better the second time.

  11. @scribus "whoops I lost my wristwatch in this here turkey" followed by "whoops I lost my head in this here turkey" is a perfect example of yes. But it is also a perfect example of "funny the first time, maybe the second time, but the third time I am going to weep"

  12. @tiffany I'd argue that it does make sense as a concept, however it is not one which you can just 'apply' to something and you would have said everything about it. Example of bad : No Man's Sky was overrated. Example of good : No Man's Sky was an overrated trainwreck when it came out mostly because of 'missing features'. ... But that is just my take on it

  13. Today I woke up with a terrible headache, it is almost like half the nerdoverse has been screaming and raging at something. And then I logged on, Ohh Nintendo. Well I guess that means I should severely tone down my expectations before I go see anything.

  14. Since Tribes : Ascend can be considered dead in the water for all intents and purposes with all the blatant hacking going on. I find myself TERRIBLY excited for this game called Midair. https://youtu.be/a-65OWwc-Lw

  17. Oh no... it does not even work under DirectX I just found out. Well time to scrap DirectX in it's entirety then

  18. It just took me just short of 3 hours to get something done under directx ( I tried 9 10 an 11 ), while it took me less than 3 minutes in OpenGL... ... ... I know what I am going to use for this project...

  19. "Hi, it is me, [name of close friend], I am in the IC right now"
    Versus
"Hi, it is me, [name of close friend], I am in the ICU right now"

One of the 2 will get a way bigger jumpstart reaction out of me. And it still baffles me that people get those 2 mixed up

  20. Did anyone have the pleasure to play Cloud Pirates ?

  21. @tiffany Ohh, so when someone says "it is like an amagamation of Worms on PC and Xcom" I can form somewhat of an idea as to what the game looks / plays like. Got it

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 12:52:41 UTC from web in context
  22. ... What does "amagamation" mean ?

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 12:49:31 UTC from web in context
  23. @nerthos You know, I kinda started this whole debaccle because the whole "I once was something, but now the internet culture is as good as dead, so I am calling what I was part of irrelevant now" seems to be really unhealthy to me. But a couple of dashes later, I'm not really sure. I might just be really really sleepy and stumbling over a word... ... ... Guess I am going to bed, Gnite :)

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 02:56:20 UTC from web in context
  24. @nerthos But who cares about if it is relevant NOW when you are talking about having/holding a theory that Scootaloo came out of Discord's butt ? That is like the total opposite of a bragging right. It is a small step short of kicking your own hindquarters.

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 02:47:32 UTC from web in context
  25. @nerthos As long as they still make good episodes every once in a while, I guess that would make me happy. But lets focus on this part right here ; Calling a previous hobby or pastime you enjoyed irrelevant now probably is not healthy.

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 02:41:51 UTC from web in context
  26. @nerthos Yup, that is all true, I guess. But I never liked the memeworld, and you can say I have a terrible aftertaste of the so called 'internet culture' ( for it is a horrible place full of regurgitation ). But I am having a bit of trouble with the 'was still relevant' part. Do I hope the show will die gracefully lest becoming a new spongebob. ( there are some people who say it is too late for that though ) ... and that is why I am having trouble with the phraising that was used...

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 02:36:44 UTC from web in context
  27. @nerthos So would you classify you still being a fan of something ( but it used to be more ) as irrelevant now ?

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 02:26:15 UTC from web in context
  28. @tiffany Aww, this makes me sad.

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 02:23:31 UTC from web in context
  29. @nerthos Not denying that, but I am still a fan. I guess some people will just declare something 'irrelevant' when they think it has declined to a very small group ?

Sunday, 08-Jan-17 02:22:17 UTC from web in context
  30. @awl Am I the only one around here whom is allergic to meme's ?
