  1. A friend of mine just linked http://9gag.com/gag/aWMQDW4 ... I am not sure what is worse, that he browses 9gag, that he expects me to know what all of these actually are, that I actually do not know what these actually are, or that my friend is suddenly a bigger weeb than I ever was in my weebest of weeb days

  4. @thelastgherkin Didn't he have a farm ?

  5. @thelastgherkin I tried this "woke" stuff once, it was horrible

Friday, 17-Jun-16 18:46:52 UTC from web in context
  6. @thelastgherkin Nono, lets simplify. Kids are gullible and naive. Example : toothfairy. Kids are also easily confused. Examples "Hey Arnold!" and "Arthur"... So the answer to "Why did kids think it was called "Hey Arthur" ? is probably "a bit of both"

Friday, 17-Jun-16 18:44:36 UTC from web in context
  7. @thelastgherkin In terms of gullibleness nothing beats that level like the toothfairy. Hey Arthur and Hey Arnold are probably 50% "toothfairyisms" and 50% "confuseisms"

  8. @ceruleanspark I usually see a whole different spectrum though, one where there is usually a shortage of tanks, Now I play support 9/10 times where I can not play tank though.

  9. "Overwatch is a nice game" he said, but he added "too bad that everytime I play noone plays support", and I thought, almost mumbled, "why would you do that ?!?"

  10. @tiffany Meh, a chocolate cake the size of your head and a gym membership are probably more progressive than filling up holes left by other games with other games. Kinda like getting your hands on Doom ( 2016 ) because you finally played all the way through Mass Effect 3 and it left a void... ... ... I am still on Mass Effect 1, so there is still time for me :)

Friday, 17-Jun-16 12:58:55 UTC from web in context
  11. @tiffany Well, at least there is a demo this time :) ... I'd recommend for it to drop in price if you played the demo and it did not convince you.

Friday, 17-Jun-16 12:55:42 UTC from web in context
  12. @tiffany I learned a new word today, I like 5 dollar words.

And I am pretty sure that the battle system makes up for at least 40% of all the "intense" moments in the game, so by that regard alone I would dismiss it as a "I'll go watch a letsplay of it instead".

    Oh wait, Nintendo...

Well, is there a demo out there at least ?

Friday, 17-Jun-16 12:48:59 UTC from web in context
  13. @tiffany Looks like an "open" world game with CG-style storyline and minigames across the board with what I am pretty sure is a modified pokemon X engine, if it is modified at all. It does not appeal to me, has some pretty meh till 'itsohkay' reviews across the board ( so from a 5.5 all the way till 7.5 ). But I am pretty sure that if you really enjoy the genre you'll really like it.

  14. I am the terror that flaps in the night, I am the reason why your social media page refuses to behave at 2:32 PM. I am Darkwing Duck !

  15. @zennx And now I feel bad for expecting bad Sonic fanart involving a blender... The Internet has ruined me

  16. ... How can anything that is download-only have a limited edition-anything ? It's composed of 1's and 0's. And if you actually were to give it away for a limited time then I can assure you that there are more pirated copies in circulation before the days end. ... ... So has it become nothing but a buzzword at this point ?

  17. @critialcloudkicker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ky-eaH9C1l0

Someone or something blocked Youtube from this local network, I kicked some ass and took some names, but it is back online. Whoohoo :D

  18. @thelastgherkin So do me a favor, and take your cakes and your pies, and shove them so far up your ass that they end up behind your eyes !

  19. @zennx Unless if your stove is a jet-fighter engine I doubt 10 minutes will be enough to evaporate a pan/kettle of water XD. But yes, sounds evil enough :)

  20. @thelastgherkin You're adorable. Don't ever change.

Friday, 17-Jun-16 09:03:59 UTC from web in context
  21. @zennx ... I just realized it is probably spaghetti carbonara, which is arguably more impressive, but partially only because I actually know how you can do that. ( Carbonara can be loosely translated from Italian into "Bacon and Eggs" )

Friday, 17-Jun-16 09:03:28 UTC from web in context
  22. @zennx ... When your little sister was 6 she learned how to conserve substances into carbon ? Keep an eye on that one, she might grow up to be an evil genius and/or make a death star.

Friday, 17-Jun-16 08:56:49 UTC from web in context
  23. @zennx Awesome, you're lucky. I probably get food poisoning if my sister made me chicken soup. Now try getting some chicken soup with a straw :)

Friday, 17-Jun-16 08:50:18 UTC from web in context
  24. @ceruleanspark "Why am I here ?" "What is my purpose ?" and the one other thing.

I'll be honest, I was playing Mass Effect 1 yesterday and asked Tali about the creation of the Geth and that is pretty much how the war for their own home-planet began, and yeah, that is pretty much how it started.

It's probably a good idea to stop putting AI's into sex toys long before that happens though. I mean, trying to explain why your planet was overrun and taken over by primarily farming equipment is probably way easier than the "I was horny"-explanation.

Friday, 17-Jun-16 08:42:07 UTC from web in context
  25. @zennx Delivery in 20 minutes or less, or the next one is on the house. ... But you probably already finished it at this point, no ?

Friday, 17-Jun-16 08:35:04 UTC from web in context
  26. @pandathehedgehog I am willing to bring you chickensoup everytime you feel sick, neigh, anyday at anytime and anyhow, even with a straw or stupid requests like that. If you are going to take over any and all possible sniffles I may have now and possibly get in the future.

Sounds like a real good deal to me :+

Friday, 17-Jun-16 08:26:35 UTC from web in context
  27. @adiwan Well, if you must go that route. Mario is probably a dangerous psychopath and maybe a communist too. As for Kratos, he might be a pinnacle of masculinity but everytime he goes down with the ladies it seems as though they are 100% into it and he is for the remaining 0% ( almost as if that health upgrade was the proverbial carrot on a stick to lure Kratos into doing the dirty deed with these woman ). ... But by merely stating that I feel like I have somehow dirtied myself to the point of regressive left tumblerisms and I need to take a shower.

Friday, 17-Jun-16 08:03:09 UTC from web in context
  28. @adiwan What are they known for ? I guess to each their own I am sure. To me people like Mario are known for 'good platformer games by nintendo'. Kratos is known for 'spectacle fighter where you rip&tear gods' and Bayonetta, well I actually got nothing on her due to never playing those games myself. But lets focus on Mario and Kratos. I doubt many gamers who actually play games to be entertained think very different. Right ?

  29. @ceruleanspark That already happened, sort of. http://www.themarysue.com/metroids-samus-aran-transgender-woman and the whole follow up is an excelent example of how "people with special interest" just love to stir up a random controversy and then stab each-other in the back just as soon as it becomes apparent that someone needs to take the fall for it... You'd be better off drawing a certain Italian plumber as a woman while doing actual plumbing work if self-soiling is your ultimate goal

  30. @cusco I do not know if it is related to the discussion or not, that is why I brought it up beginning with the words "what about" and ended with a "?". As for talking about sexual orientation, I am pretty sure that those priests did not choose to resort to sexual abuse, but rather felt cornered because they felt cornered by the words they preach themselves until frustration made them do something very very foolish. ... So in essence are they are being punished for not actually being asexual ?
