  1. My grandma has the uncanny ability to break her windows install. The Start menu is completely gone for some reason. "I did not do nothing" is the usual excuse... I think she should work as betatester... I do not even know how windows 10 works, yet I am asked to fix it ? Damn you Win10 !

  4. @taknamay It may have something to do with the mascot for RDN that colours their opinion quite a bit. But in case you actually find out, do share.

  5. @mrmattimation Listen carefully, you can almost hear the YouTube comments whispering ... "blatant ripoff" ... Wait since when does anyone care about YouTube comments ? It's still a good idea.

  7. @nerthos I read that as "Elite" at first

  8. @nerthos It does in Dutch too, it's pronounced like "wheat" without the H or T.

  9. @nerthos I think this had something to do with the Latin alphabet, there was no W back then. Untill the 8th century or so then scribes wrote "uu" whenever they wanted to write something with a "w", untill that was phased out for the "Wynn" symbol, which looks like the letters P and D had a rough night together. So at this point I am just happy we're calling it "double you" and not "SuPer Dee" ... Oh and it also had something to do with old typewriters not having a "w" so they would write "vv" just like how some typewriters do not have a "ß" ( it's a German thing ) so they would write "ss" so... ... ... Know what ? Language is stupid !

  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PtOAnZxB8s ... This made me laugh out loud. The uncut version is an extention of this clip, but that one might be less safe for work ( as is usual per uncut versions of things on the Internet )

  11. @scribus *patpat* Not everyone has the ability to delve though tonnes of information to look up why they should or should not vote for Drumpf. As a matter of fact, take it from someone who lives outside of the USA and looks at the American nominees that are left. Is there anyone I'd willfully vote for ? Not really.

  12. I have a confession to make. I do not remember a truckload of the original Ghost Busters. I remember more of the cartoon series actually, and most of that is from the time before I could even understand English.

  14. Today there are a lot of people whom are pitching their headcannon to me as legit. Dayum guys, April Fools was 3 days ago, get with the program, please. I do not think my head can take any more "Captain America and Uncle Ben were roommates, that is why he gets along so well with Spidey" incoherent ramblings.

  20. @tiffany So now it seems we both do not know what the other is talking about.

Sunday, 03-Apr-16 18:39:46 UTC from web in context
  21. @tiffany Yeah Yeah, me too. It is probably way easier to get my hands on a cheap Whistler dart refill in Europe for cheap than it is to actually mod my Blaster barrelposts and buy cheap Chinese knockoffs. Also they would whistle, as they are called "Whistlers" for a reason... Wait we are not talking about the same thing ?

  22. @adiwan I am not talking about interpreting. I am talking about reading out loud. It has bound to be better than watching whichever movie the teacher fancies that day.

Sunday, 03-Apr-16 18:28:05 UTC from web in context
  23. @adiwan ... That is even less educational than handing out 1984 to everyone and letting each student read a page, and rate them on howmuch they need to work on reading out loud.

  24. "What are they doing in Antartica ? Seriously" ( followed by a lot of ramblings ) "It is bigger than Europe and the US put together" ... And this is how a tea party ( sorta ) turned into a classroom about map-projections... Well at least I had something interesting to do, currently showing them a YouTube vid. Wow, for some reason I feel like THAT lazy teacher now, you know the kind I am talking about, we all know at least one

  25. @smileygirlinrain It's a club-centre pretty much. Someone came up with the idea to have loads of club like things down where I work, and I pretty much have to assist them with "club-activities" ( mostly helping them organize ). Down on paper it would mean that everyone could find a like-minded individual to persue club-like activities with. But when practice meets theory it all boils down to... Everyone is member of Club-Zer0, and everyone has funny little marks on their cards.

Oh, and yeah, everyone has some degree of autism, PDD-NOS and MCDD make up the majority it seems.

  27. Can anyone explain to me why anyone would ever be so mad at a TV-show that they actually lose sleep over it ? I am talking about the level of stupidity seen only in "Ohno they killed caracter so-and-so" "this is terrible because he or she was my favorite actor" "I never even watched the show to be honest" ... This just spurted out of this person in the course of less than 5 minutes... Why does anyone care about anything they are not involved with to at least some degree ?

  29. ... Why do people need to be so condescending and exclusive to their own group all the time ? I mean, I can understand why some groups do not like eachother, such as the LARP group and the movieclub. But why on earth do I feel like I am being shunned from the computer-gaming club because I once said that I do not really like Call of Duty ? That's just silly. [rant]
