Update on the house drama from Friday: Someone got some jail time. They're not legally to set foot on this street or near most of the family, though I am personally allowed to visit him on my own if I want. No clear serious injury here, just some swelling, aches. The soreness I had has cleared up. He had a busted nose, but it will probably heal. And the household income will be dropping fairly soon. Losing net is unlikely, but it's possible we may have to give up TV (and Hub) down the road. Maybe. (I can buy the show on iTunes if I must... It's only one day behind.)

Niche niche niche and freaking counter culture. If everypony keeps trying to 1up the others in the same field (I'm staring at you, MLP abridged projects that depend on morbid themes to function) then the people who prefer different flavors of content go completely unaddressed and grow disinterested in the popular mediums for what they do not like.

One family member in jail after last night's violence. I'm a bit sore, but I think everyone here is okay for the time being. Pretty sure one can't keep a job while in jail, though, so lifestyle changes impending with the income shift.

@leonkfox Yes, I just was reading the vague article that showed up on EqD while I was in my meeting, and watching the drama detonate over "an anonymous but reliable source" on another website. I do agree that holding out and waiting things to settle -- and for actual facts to come in -- is the best plan of action. There are already more than enough people screaming, having panic attacks, and basically turning the fandom into its own worst enemy. (On the bright side, WeLoveFine should see a heck of a sales spike today.)

Did a crashcourse on MySQL, so now I have basic competency. And I've at least looked at PHP before. I know what I want functionality wise, but I haven't figured out how to give the WIP !plot website a frontend that is as pretty as it is useful. (#Backend joke averted.)
