  1. @thelastgherkin You made me wonder, who hates Twilight Sparkle! Then I googled and I have to say the result is a relief.

  3. @fortecadenza What makes a lot more difference at this scale is crank length. I ride 75mm cranks with the freestyle uni and 110mm with the KH20 (which is a dead give-away that I don't use it for trial). I'd recommend you 90mm, which is reasonable for a beginner riding strictly indoors. It will feel vastly different from the 127mm you currently train with. It will feel less controlled, but the uni will wobble a lot less.

  4. @fortecadenza Doesn't do much on a 20" unless you want to trial. My KH20 is only 5.0 kg and it's really robust, too. When you ride something big like 26" to 36" you really want to reduce rotating weight.

  6. @fortecadenza Mine is heavier than yours, though. A whooping 5.6 kilos is a lot for a 20" ride. With it's 5-walled aluminium rim, long neck frame, full length seat post, 48 spokes, it's built to be robust more than anything else. I have a really crappy picture: http://lon-kamikaze.deviantart.com/art/Deep-Purple-and-my-Freestyle-U-258885484

  7. @fortecadenza Keep on doing it, it's worth it. And if you get a little more ambitious or just want to talk to fellow unicyclists come over to http://www.unicyclist.com/. Some of the worlds most knowledgeable and famous riders like John Foss, Terry “UniGeezer” Peterson and Kris Holm hang around there.

  8. @fortecadenza At least it's reasonably robust. You wouldn't believe what kind of crap gets sold as a unicycle.

  9. @fortecadenza 'see. I don't like single walled steel rims, they've got too much flex in them. Also the frame is unfit for the first tricks you usually learn after managing basic riding. Indoor I ride a Japanese import freestyle frame, you cannot get from UDC http://www.einradversand.de/UNICYCLE-SPARES/Frames/20-Zoll--406mm--AJATA-Freestyle-Longneck-Gabel.html.

  10. @fortecadenza You can fix this by doing more unicycling!

  11. @fortecadenza Make pictures of the unicycles in the background, I want to identify the make.

  12. @fortecadenza Why ride a penny farthing if you can ride unicycles? That reminds me, I should make a picture of ALL my unicycles together!

  13. „@ceruleanspark I mean generally when a new user hits the site, the timeline is a bunch of total strangers discussing a totally unfamiliar topic that is, …, completely impenetrable to human beings.“ That wasn't my impression when I joined not so long ago.

  14. @pony Hipsters aren't really among the pool of people the fandom draws from in Germany. It spreads through hack spaces and hacker conventions.

  16. @pony @toksyuryel Well, my issue is that you're not really a hipster without the element of irony. It's not a fitting brony category to me.

  19. @pony I think hipster bronies is a contradictory term. Being a brony is all about genuinely enjoying the show.

  30. @widget I was suspecting that it only works with YT HTML5 ready content and on DevART only with art download enabled. E.g. one of the artworks without a thumb was with a .psd download.
