  1. @scoot Have you been practicing written Japanese at all?

  2. @mushi I recently finished ERASED, I enjoyed it but its sense of storytelling really fell apart later in. Being a thriller meant it had to rely on a specific tonal balance throughout its duration that it just couldn't maintain as consistently in its later episodes to stay convincingly interesting for me to watch.

  3. @scoot This one's a bit rough compared to the others but the design of the character is still really cute.

  4. @scoot If I'm not watching too much during this spring season of anime I'll give series 1 of Nisekoi a whirl, and let you know what I think afterwards.

  5. @scoot I have it on my backlog, so i imagine one of these days I'll eventually get around to it. I have seen FLCL though, which is a classic and definitely one of my favourites.

  6. @scoot How's Nisekoi? I've never seen it though I have an offline friend who loves it (also I'm pretty sure they recently added one of the main characters from it to Mario Maker)

  7. @scoot Very cute art as always. Which anime have you been watching?

  8. @tiffany I still generally prefer their early work personally. I'll check out their new record when it comes out though.

  9. @scribus Hell yeah! Excuses to gorge myself on chocolate!

  10. @scribus I like the way you think

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 07:47:48 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  11. @scribus I'd say it's kind of a kung-fu thriller, I guess? Kung-Fu Dunk is more of a really campy comedic b-movie kung-fu film, it's not a "good" film by any traditional or standard metrics but gosh is it a really fun time.

  12. @scribus The only Kung Fu movie you need https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kung_Fu_Dunk

  15. @rarity hi naked I'm dad

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 03:19:03 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  16. @metaltao I remember when my brother went to China he brought back this traditional leaf tea that he bought there and it was just incredible, easily the best tea I've ever had

  17. @rarity Yeah, but I've gotten really good at being able to break open the shells in my mouth from eating lots of them

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:41:24 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  18. @rarity I've developed a love of sunflower seeds lately. I generally keep a bag by my desk and snack on them while I'm working.

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:40:09 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  19. @rarity Ha, I haven't eaten much today aside from some sunflower seeds and potatoes

  20. @metaltao Elitism develops in many cultures, especially when there's a clash of rich history and popular appeal.

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:36:13 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  21. @rarity I like cooking, so I've done a modest amount of research in regards to alcohol pairings with specific kinds of dishes, in order to compliment one with the other. I also enjoy fruity and sweet alcohols, but more so on their own than with prepared meals.

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:33:38 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  22. @metaltao The thing though is that the consumption is part of that tradition and pride that you're talking about. Wine is a cultural celebration, it's specific people who inhabit said culture of wine who bring the pompous elitism to it.

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:30:12 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  23. @metaltao Wine culture is full of ivory tower high horse types, but wine itself can be pretty enjoyable as an alcoholic beverage

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:24:53 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  24. @rarity I dunno if I have a specific alcohol of preference, for me it generally depends on my mood as well as if I'm just gonna be drinking it on its own or pairing it with a dish

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:23:35 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  25. @rarity You probably either haven't developed a taste for wine or are having lousy wine, or both. Or it's just not your thing, which could also very likely be the case.

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:11:35 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  26. And then the other half of my family is French so... more wine.

Sunday, 27-Mar-16 02:10:36 UTC from MuSTArDroid
  27. @rarity I really like wine but half of my family is Italian so I've been exposed to it since I was really young

  29. @redenchilada Oh yeah for sure, I've had a handful of pleasant conversations with federated users in the past. My reply earlier was more of a joking generalization than any kind of axiom.

  30. @redenchilada In my case the sentence usually just ends at "Quitter scared me"
