You are using them as a basis (Their authority.) as being the flagship of all gamers and what all Let's players are like. Can you say, without a doubt, that all, including gamers of the live stream variety, are indeed replicates of these two?
There is a culture involved that does, at times, support your (But, let's make it less broad) idea. It simply does not happen with all. At least, (May you excuse my Burden of Proof on you.) we do not have enough statistical evidence to provide that the 90% number was not pulled out of thin aair.
