@mrmattimation What's funny is some of my favourite books ever have pretty boring plots. Like take Heart of Darkness, one of my all time favourites, for example. The book is pretty much the main character recalling his events of going on a boat from place to place and observing whatever happened there. But it's the fact that all the character interactions had so much meaning and intent behind them, and pretty much every line of dialogue could relate to the novella's major themes. Plus the prose had such an interesting style, the way Conrad could describe things in both the abstract then bring focus to them or vice versa is incredible.
