  1. Ok, I think I'm gonna try Linux, just to see what it's like. @omni Wat Distro?

  3. @omni I do believe the german pronounciation of ch involves spitting on someone.

  4. @omni Why. If I was gonna drop letters, I'd probably get rid of C, K, Q or X. Three of them make basically the same sound and X is just useless

  5. @omni Most of my software runs on both Mac and Windows, but the big one (Flash 8) is from 2005 so I can't find the installer anywhere. Once I find that I'm making the switch.

  6. @omni Not so far, it's most of the OS-X kernel. However, without the flashy interface bits.

  7. @omni Darwin is just an open sourced version of the Mach kernel. But I think wine can be installed from Mac-Ports.

  8. @omni Was this langue created exclusively to make use of "Underused sounds/letters" or something

  9. @omni Don't sweat it. Look, I'll just stay out of your Linux discussions. If by some miracle I can find good use out of Linux, I'll join in as well. I promise to stop trying to make Windows a good thing, since if EXEs could run on Macs I'd be using those.

  12. @omni I wasn't pushing Windows. I have admitted several times that Linux is better in some areas. All of my arguments have been a defense to your attack.

  13. @zeldatra @omni Settle your ***es down, I do not want to look at two people argue over this stupid. It's pathetic.

  17. @omni Look, you use Linux. I respect that. What I don't respect is you pushing your "everything should be free" mentality on the rest of us.

  18. @omni Rofl, if you read the description on the page it adds a little bit of context.

  19. @omni I was semi serious. The guy claims proprietary software is the root of all evil. That's kinda ridiculous. They don't have to release the source for everyone to see if they don't want to. I'm sorry we can't live in a world where everyone gives away their blueprints for the hell of it.

Wednesday, 19-Dec-12 20:44:44 UTC from web in context
  20. @omni You honestly thought I was serious?

Wednesday, 19-Dec-12 20:31:19 UTC from web in context
  21. @omni See, if "it's bad to use proprietary software" held any merit, that'd make sense.

  22. @omni Then what /does/ he mean?

Wednesday, 19-Dec-12 19:46:43 UTC from StatusNet Android in context
  23. @omni Well, he's certainly saying people who pay for things are committing horrible atrocities!

  24. @omni The part that says piracy is justified because you don't like the developer's motives.

  25. @omni Oh, so his nonsense is explained away with more nonsense! Good to know.

  26. @omni that makes no sense at all

  27. @minti @pony @omni Do they have to be GOOD replacements? Because Chocolatey (http://chocolatey.org/) is a package manager for Windows.

Wednesday, 19-Dec-12 16:52:49 UTC from web in context
  28. @omni I know right. I love having anything maybe 20 keystrokes away, all packaged properly and ready to work on almost any system.
