@northernnarwhal nope. I earn every cent. My parent kinda left when I was young. Everything I have, I've earned, and i like it like that. and wow. that was mean
-
@thewaifutyphoon xDD if I ever change to a job that requires hourly wages, then I would probably like it to be consistent too. I just like to work on my own terms when I want to xDD thats what I mean by scheduled work
-
@northernnarwhal ewww scheduled work
-
@voxxxrebel hey you
-
@metaltao MAKE IT HAPPEN
-
@metaltao ROWLING PLZ
-
@metaltao RIGHT?!? It would be so great especially if he give a single little chuckle to himself after
-
@northernnarwhal im not talking about the audience at the e3 conference. im talking about nintendo bringing the super smash brothers star players and casters to play the new smash. Evo is a very large tournament that brings the proffessionals of the games together to compete. how does that not sound like an esport >.> I think you live in a really REALLY bad place if you've appearantly only met one nice fan of MLP and 0 nice SSB players. wither that or you just have really bad luck with where you decide to go for those interactions
-
@metaltao well that's what would make it so funny. it would be a completely ironic act in itself. like a 'to let you see that im not blah blah blah, ill tell you a joke' then its a horrible joke with a bad punchline
-
@thewaifutyphoon i think it would've been great if in any of the movies, they woul've had snape telling a joke. It would be so great. Still momnotone mind you
-
@thewaifutyphoon yeah, i know. I'm not talking about diehards exclusively, im talking about MLP as a whole, the community
-
@clayinthecarpet dye it black! Free job as director of potions at hogwarts
-
@northernnarwhal I am defensive about it because I enjoy the tournaments, I know a lot of the professional players, I used to be one myself, and the fact that smash is not only included, but featured in so many national events such as evo (going on right now) would say that smash is considered an esport by many more. Oh also the nintendo e3 conference, that would also say that more people take it seriously than jsut the community. The fact that you are openly attacking the smash community will of course make me try to defend it. If i were to, right now, talk about all the bad experiences Ive had with the brony community, and began attacking it, who on this site wouldn't defend it, being part of that community.
-
@thewaifutyphoon nothing like a good soft lock xDD
-
@broniebrown i really just like John deLancie (yuup fanboy here) he played the part really well. But im not totally partial toward Q. just... john delancieeeeeeeeee
-
@broniebrown but QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ
-
@northernnarwhal never use the internet as a source for genuine interaction. anyone can be a jerk behind a keyboard. 90% of interactions i have in games online or in game communities online aren't positive, but that's entirely different from real life interactions in the community at my local places etc. Since you are already opinionated so heavily toward the smash community, of course the people in it will 'annoy you' On the note of taking way too seriously. there is a distinction between child friendly and childrens game. If by children's game you mean children friendly, then it is just using a negatively connotative word that confuses your intent. it already is taken seriously as an esport, and i'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with your smash community, but, like i said, its not the experience I've had in many places in the community in california and adjacent states.
-
@mrmattimation i would like my weightless amount of irl gold to have a bunch of weight.
-
@nerthos one does not. one does not be mad when having hoes
-
@northernnarwhal yeahhh I think that's a local thing for you. here, at least, there are always people willing to help out new people get the competitive techniques into their game. Also, i think it is really low to use someones appearance as a way to further a negative point. and you keep referencing it as taking a children's game way too seriously. This is not a game made exclusively for children. Its made for everyone. Its a combat game, not a point and click adventure, just because its characters are from the Nintendo universe, means nothing really. There are always arguments against esports as taking games wayyyy tooo seriouslyyyyy, in the same light some people take baseball, soccer, football, golf, tennis, whatever way too seriously too
-
@mrmattimation soaaaapppppppp lol
-
@northernnarwhal I have been to smash tourneys. But ive never had a bad experience with any of them. maybe you just have had some really bad tourney or community experiences, but I have not. Ive met a few people who were hotheads, but that's it. And project M isn't complete, that much is known. I agree that brawl is a more polished game, you are right there. But that doesn't change the fact that it still removed many features of melee that made the gameplay extremely attractive to competitive communities. It was made by fans of both games trying to bring the tech of melee into the smooth playstyle and better programming of brawl. and you really do sound very hypocritical in that you are so close minded about them and then call them close minded and insult them directly.
-
@rarity <33 yep yep!
-
@critialcloudkicker sexy legs XD i prefer the latter of the two
-
@rarity yes rarity~~
-
@critialcloudkicker looks like a mobile evil lair. I could just imagine a B rated supervillain standing in the cabin of that thing as he fails horribly at his plans of destruction xDD
-
@critialcloudkicker that front is sooo awkward
-
@broniebrown lol THEY CAN'T HEAR YOUUUUUUUU. SCREAM LOUDER UNTIL THEY DO!!!!!!
-
@northernnarwhal the reason they dont play brawl isnt because it's 'sacrilegious' its because they removed a lot of the awesome techniques usable in melee. the reason they only play on 7 maps and use no items is the same reason. They want a game with no RNG, just skill to determine who wins. Project M is brawl with additional Melee physics, and it is great in the comp community. On the higher per capita, I would disagree, on that. Though there are really nice communities, smash is a pretty average one when it comes to running across mean people. if you aren't nice to them, why would they be nice to you?
