@northernnarwhal there are assholes everywhere, in every community. And no one has much right to judge people based on what they put time into. A lot of people probably think the same thing about whatever it is you do. They are good at something, are part of a community, many are part of a team, and they are having fun, and they aren't hurting anyone.

@northernnarwhal a lot of people do, but there is an insane amount of tech and hurtbox detection in the game that makes it suitable for competitive and casual. its why I like it so much

@rarity EC is small, but its still there. there are some really talented players in EC

@northernnarwhal there are. east coast is younger in the community and focuses mainley on consistency, shield pressure, and patient play, whereas west coast has a longer run in the community and is deeper in combos, techs, and edge guarding

@rarity east and west coast have really different playstyles. I never was in to fighting games so I dont bother with wnf. Too many people have too many years of experience over me, but ive been with smash since n64, so I have the knowledge and history to compete xD

@redenchilada dust is a really fun speedrun. but you will get diabeetus from that game. just a fair warning

@rarity yeah, the los angeles scene is pretty great for pro gaming. I live like 20 minutes away from where they host LCS xDD and about 10 minutes from the best smash arcade in socal
