I was looking through my folder of old MMF projects and found a game that some of you guys might possibly enjoy. This is from around 2010, and IIRC it was made for some competition where we had to restrict the game to certain graphical limitations. It's got three levels and a boss, and (although I denied it when I made it) it's actually really hard. I think I spent an hour beating it just now, and that's considering I still remembered all the tricks to getting through it. http://pny.lv/huj9

So after waiting many years for a certain portable to bring enough meal at a McDonalds price I finally own a PSP! Has some alright side loaded pony themes (though the best looking is if I modded said new device). @scribus What's actually interesting about FFVI is that holistically it doesn't have a single main protagonist, and Terra is only really the center of the narrative for the first half while the second half devotes more focus to Celes.

@northernnarwhal There's a lot that's interesting about FFVI, but yeah, the strength of pretty much every character but Umaro is high up on the list. :p

@scribus It's definitely my favourite Final Fantasy game, if solely because I felt it has the strongest writing and characters the series has seen. Not that I dislike the overt worldbuilding narratives of later games, but I felt the more non-linear and character driven narrative of FFVI to be all the more compelling.

I think a good way to teach farming would be a realistic farm simulator. It would have to simulate the climate of the player's location and have crops appropriate for that climate.Is there already somethig like this that is open source?

@mushi I must admit it would of been better suited for a console or held in the works till the 3DS. It's lack of features compared to the prequel on PS2 is hard to get used too. Actually, I think I just miss the full motion of a thumb stick the most. ^.^;

Barrel distortion can be precalculated so that you just can look up where the pixels map to, no need for GPU. Figured this a few weeks ago.
