Hi there, from Best Western Europa, just outside Olympia. Finally found some free wi-fi. Left Athens and headed to Delphi, which was freezing. stayed a night and then moved on to Olympia, which was pretty awesome. Definitely an upgrade from Athens

Finaly got a chance to watch "Lesson Zero". Pretty awesome stuff: Insane Twilight is best Twilight. And so many 4th-wall breaks in one episode! And an obvious Derpy! And yet another new voice for Bon-Bon! As well as applesed-off Celestia, melodramatic Rarity, The Rainbow Nuke, Big Macintosh's adorable character slip...ah heck, the whole episode was awesome! Eagerly awaiting Luna's episode next week.

!vancouverbronies STORY TIME FILLIES! So I was at the gym and got on my a treadmill which had a tv. I was browsing through the tv listings and the screen told me that MLP:FIM would be starting in about 10 minutes...and I had brought my headphones. SO long story short I ran for 30 minutes while watching My little pony in sight of everyone in the gym, and its was "A bird in the hoof"

@redback I did a mini trip into Greece from Italy during my 2 month backpacking trip through Europe, Greece, particularly Athens, is not as scary as the news is making it out to be. Spoke to some locals who have lived in Greece their whole life and are so embarrassed by the things that have been happening. As long ad you stick to the touristy stuff, like it seems you will be, then you'll be fine. The ruins in Athens are incredible, they were doing major restoration on the Parthenon, and the whole acropolis was jam packed with hundreds of people, but just tune them out and enjoy the awe and wonder of these amazing structures, you'll have an incredible time. Have fun!

Funny story: At the moment, Im working on an installation for art class, that tells the story of a person's descent into madness after encountering a strange entity (A la MarbleHornets). And with all the teachers' mutilations of my idea, I am, in fact, slowly descending into madness myself. Hey, at least it'll be realistic.

@scribusthehomicidalmaniac Yeeeah... cocktails in a can don't scream "quality". Well, they probs don't sell Ruddles in the states. Which is not a bad thing. Its surprisingly heavy, but basically tastes like vinegar.

@pawnheart I think the worst part is that I typically prefer vodka martinis, because I find cheap vodka to be better than cheap gin. Yet, the canned regular martini was better. I mean, what the hell did they use for that alleged "vodka" martini?

@abigpony Well I can't really say anything about threads since I don't lurk boards, but I just personally wouldn't feel right judging people prematurely. Either way, at least it seems like you give them a chance first which is what really matters I suppose. That being said, I've got zombies to stabby stabby so I'll probably be less talkative for a while.

@abigpony Well, you listen to their newer albums, like In Sorte Diaboli and Abrahadabra, and its easy to hear that they are steering form their old industrial heavy sound, and going down the more melodic, symphonic route (which I honestly prefer). And because they now have a big budget to produce their music, everyone's accusing them of selling out

@ceruleanspark I resent that! I like to think I'm here for both. I enjoy the show an awful lot, but that doesn't mean I don't like the fan extended universe. Obviously the show trumps all fanon, but with background characters, I think it's perfectly reasonable to have some extra stuff.

It's official: I am going to go to Ravensbourne. Whatever happens, that is where I am going for Uni. The place has everything: Great facilities, great courses, great social, a stunning building, a uniqu view of the 02 arena, and a free macbook and copy of Adobe CS5 to every student. Oh and my friend is going here, as well as another friend from the highe ryear above me (who is also a brony, sealing the deal even more)

@ceruleanspark It was my dad's computer originally and because it was his, I didn't want to install anything else he get mad for whatever reason. By the time I did decide to just install it, I was already used to safari. I do admit tab movement is easier using shortcuts in safari though.

Drumming in the music department, practicing my solo piece for the 6th Form Revue (Sing Sing Sing by Benny Goodman). I finish the song, complete stranger (presumably the drumming teacher) peeks his head into the booth and compliments my drumming. It made my day.

Had the strangest idea today: Set up speakers all over the city, somehow hook them all up to a single microphone, and play/sing a quiet, peaceful little song over the whole city at night. Then round it off with a simple "We hope you've enjoyed this little song. Goodnight.". The things I come up with in the shower!!
