@scoot I saw one that was like "um do you know CHARACTER design???????? if u can tell the silhouette it doesn't MATTER what the actual style is" and another that was like "all art looking the same is good they did it in the renaissance all the time". What really bugs me is that people are treating it like it's a cardinal SIN to criticize the fact that a lot of cartoon characters today have relatively the same facial structure and big, toothy grin.

@scoot I've been seeing a LOT of stuff about it on Tumblr in the last couple of days. I personally don't care but I've seen more people complaining about people who complain about CalArts than people actually complaining about CalArts.

@scoot I'm the same, though if I had to choose between a great short game and a good long game I'd more often than not pick the former.

@scoot I've generally been more of a "quality over quantity" kind of person when it comes to media, though it is nice having a game you can sink an absurd amount of time into.

@scoot Yeah, I had money put aside for several months for the new Fire Emblem as I've been a fan of the series for a while now.

@scoot Now fans just have to wait forever for MHX. Although I have more than enough games to tide me over, the new Fire Emblem alone is eating up a ton of my free time.

@scoot Adobe is too integrated into my workflow, I don't think I'll ever be able to leave. The standard interface is ingrained in my mind.

@scoot I have not played that one, but yeah one of 4U's biggest strengths is that it's able to trim lots of the fat of Monster Hunter's early game

@scoot I've played 3 Ultimate but didn't sink as much time into it as Tri, though 3U basically irons out lots of Tri's bad design choices. 4U for me is the best in the series of the ones I've played though.

@scoot My brother got into the series around the time Monster Hunter Tri came out on Wii because I got him that game for his birthday that year and he loved it so much that he went back and played some of the older ones and has played every new release since.

@scoot No prob. My brother is the biggest Monster Fan I've ever met so he's put a ton of time into several games in the series.

@scoot I actually had to pirate it because, according to an Adobe customer service representative, it is a known issue that their programs do not play nice with antivirus software, so my free 30 day trial was over before I started it. Then they wouldn't fix it and instead told me to buy a Cloud subscription to fix the problem. It's INFURIATING how buggy it is, because they finally fixed the brush tool for the most part.

@scoot I didn't get that far into 4, but my brother's been doing a ton of G rank quests lately in MH4U and has put well over 1000 hours into the game.

@scoot I've found with the Monster Hunter games that I have played that if you get into them you're in it for the long term.

@scoot the patch is decent, it has all the menus translated and most of the skills and gear but no dialogue yet

@scoot Moon sounds cooler and I'm leaning more towards it, but the Sun legendary could win me over.
