I suppose it's ultimately a good thing that my local food bank has enough volunteers that it's actually kind of challenging to schedule a volunteer shift, right? That means people are actually helping, yes?? Not that they're critically underfunded to the point where they can't even afford free labor, right???

The kid I grew up across the street from and knew for 35 years just died last week of an asthma attack, he wasn't even 40
