  1. @scribus Around the time of that school shooting in Broward County, I had a cartoon written (and a background painted!) that was just Marco Rubio listening to a bunch of voicemails from constituents telling him to kill himself, it was like four straight minutes of just that, and then the punchline was that he... kills himself. I decided not to do it when I realized it would probably get me a friendly visit from some federal prosecutors looking to ask me some questions.

  2. @scribus Maybe a less threatening phrase helps: "conclude your current operations."

  4. @scribus Yeah. It's filmed somewhat competently and people want to see a puppy killer die. The worst "action" scene I've ever watched was the ending of The Hunger Games in cinema with my friends.

  5. @scribus Is it the same song as SEAGULLS! (Stop it Now), the bad lip-reading song of Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back?

  7. @scribus Evidently, seeing as how people are also saying he’s the legitimate winner of California

  9. @scribus It's cool that there is a cheap solution but I rather pay triple that for a proper one with a bigger volume and higher resolution.

  11. @adiwan @scribus I enjoyed it quite a bit, although I definitely thought the Pinky and the Brain segments were generally the better parts of the episodes they were in. Not that the Warner Bros. segments were bad at all, they were pretty funny, I just thought P&B had waaaaay less misses.

  12. @scribus I just watched all the 13 episodes. It's good. Not overwhelmingly good. Good good. Some jokes and segments were not to my own taste but the rest was good 'ol fun.

  13. @scribus I have absolutely no idea what I've exactly bought with it. It's fricking 17 years ago haha. I didn't have much fun collecting money like a numismatic. Videogames are my jam since my parents bought a C64 and sold it, and got IBM(-compatible) machines. As for the game I bought it could have been anything. I'm only sure that's still in my possession and probably a PC game. Outcast, You don't know Jack, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Airline Tycoon, Civilization Call To Power...

  15. @scribus This is really just a bad habit of mine. Any home console games where you could manipulate things on-screen usually ended up getting pushed to their very limits by me. Special mention goes to Fallout 4 where my game was perpetually running at sub-20 any time I was in one of my settlements.

  16. @scribus I'm glad my monitor has an integrated USB hub. I have a mouse, keyboard, scanner, drawing tablet, VR headset, and an external HDD, a microphone, and a webcam attached to almost all available ports of the whole system. I use the front ones occasionally for the SD card reader. So I'm pretty much maxed out.

  17. @scribus What even happened to floppy drives, EDO RAM, user-upgradable CPU cache, manually selectable device IRQ, Soundblaster, 3Dfx, CRT monitors, PS/2 keyboards, ball mice, IDE, SCSI...?

  21. @scribus I could do that too but the North Sea is toooo damn cold haha I don't know if the indoor skiing halls are open in Summer.... The mountains near me are not tall enough for snow all year around. I would need to drive to the Alps and it takes about 8 hours to get from where I live. But it isn't worth the time and gas.

  23. @scribus Yeah... I understand. California. Palms and barely any falling leaves and constantly warm weather (as in not freezing). In Germany there is a rule of thumb that Summer tires should be used from Easter to October. There are tires that work for all year with an appropriate profile but they are not ideal but usable. Driving the Winter tires in the Summer can be devastating due to the softer rubber mixture. On a very hot day at higher speeds they can degrade super fast. Summer tires have the opposite problem as due to the lower temperatures they are not soft enough to ensure the necessary grip, especially with wet leaves on the ground and heavy rainfall or snow.

  24. @scribus My father just had used a setting on the pneumatic drill higher than needed. Well... I successfully changed the tires and that's what matters. The winter will be probably warm but I don't want to risk driving with summer tires any longer as there were some frosty days this week.

  25. @scribus When I manually tightened the screws in last year's tire change I didn't have to use my full body weight to loose them. When I manual tighten the screws they are as tight as they can get. I would say I have average arm strength but for the life of me I couldn't use the same amount of strength loosening the pneumatic drilled ones. For one screw I had to use a pipe to extend the leverage arm. This was the first time I had to use such measures.

  26. @scribus He has a memory of a goldfish and an ego as big as Jupiter. His stubbornness and rabid followers will pull him back. Presidency two: electric vote-a-loo. The Fluffle Puff show will repeat again. As much as I have no wish for that I am emotionally preparing it as soon as possible.
