  1. @scribus The divine powers or yet another GNU Social thing ?

... Yeah I know but I could hope...

But seriously, once you figure how to get more people to use a GNU Social instead of facebook, I would be all ears.

There are SO many people in my immediate surroundings who go "Wait, you did not know what, I posted it on Facebook like a month ago". I would call them stupid boomers but some of them are not even 20 yet.

  2. @scribus to be fair, the ones that need to be fact checked contribute like 80% of Facebook’s revenue.

  3. @scribus Well, honestly. In a click-to-click based economy wouldn't fact-checking ANYTHING ( let alone politicians, because they bring in the big clicks ) be sort of shooting yourself in your foot ?

Grats on cutting the cord. I have heard some of my vague friends refer to FaceBook as Umbilical Cord even, food for thought.

  5. @scribus I am sorry, I can only seem to think about this now .

Warning : Pretty sure my strict aunt would classify that as either NSFW or "weirdo internet batcave" ( which is by her definition NSFW ) http://rainbowdash.net/url/875218

  7. @scribus I straight-up just have a personal ratings system now (not dissimilar to the FCC-mandated TV parental guidelines that's on cable and whatnot) because it seems like YouTube is laxer on that sort of thing if you at least put a warning at the front of the video and in the description and whatnot.

  8. @scribus I'd rather want to see him being knocked out by his own golf ball on the golf course.

  9. @scribus @awl I'm actually considering buying an RV, but I'm not sure if the life I'm planning for myself will be very compatible with living that way. I want to be a physicist, but to do that, I will need to go back to school and then probably get hired by a lab or something. Both of those things would require me to be anchored to one spot for the most part. It seems like any city with any level of population gets real particular about vehicles parked in the streets. I just got a warning sticker from my nowhereville about being parked in the same spot in my neighborhood for over three days. :/

  10. @scribus I often think about saving up to buy a house in Colorado and just building a small office space in the backyard so I can have an actual professional base of operations but also I don’t have to pay rent on professional space

  11. @scribus bears are a thing for sure to plan for if you go to the woods. I went out to the Badlands and as far as the sand dunes in Nebraska. Kept full camping gear just in case. The big problem I can forsee is warmth in the winter.

  12. @scribus you know, this apartment has had me thinking of living in a car. Done it for a week before and one gets used to it. Would be a great way to save up for land ownership one day. And ideal when tou find remote places.

  15. @scribus Well, I guess it is time to say farewell to the department of "making FrankerZ up as I go" ... Wait a minute, You are just trying to sell me a Wheel O'Scapegoats arn't you ? Hell I dare to bet that this entire room is made out of chocolate or something

Oh and yeh I probably watch way too much weird Potato Knishes on the net http://rainbowdash.net/url/875212

  16. @scribus When I vote the booth has no curtain but the free standing booth is orientated in such a way that no one can look. It's literally 3 walls with an integrated table and foldable for easy storage and deployment. Also the amount of people in the voting room is limited to the amount of booths (usually two or three max) and there are voting helpers to ensure there is no cheating.

  17. @scribus Well in the very least vagabonding has a way better than than "van hobo". Also yeah that sounds cool.

  18. @scribus So what ? You wanna call this art or something ? How do you even want to report on this.

    points at kitchen utensil

I do not think "today there was a kitchen mishap in the long room" will cut it. People will start to ask questions

  19. @scribus Lets say you picked up an unused scratch card from the floor somewhere and won 40.000 dollar. Where would you even move out to ? I mean, I think I would begin seriously gathering some pro's and con's to living in McCall, Idaho.

Well either that or reschool to become a park/woods-ranger and go where the trees be, but I am mostly daydreaming about myself at this point.

  20. @scribus ( Lets keep this low-key improv stuff going, to see where it goes )

So you swear you had NOTHING to do for us finding them in such embarrassing positions. Well, You know what I mean.

I mean I would be embarrassed.

  21. @scribus Now I know I should see that in context to what you posted earlier. But my initial response would have been "WHAT DID YOU DO ?!?"

  22. @scribus I was mostly referring to him not being stupid all the time. Yeah, that was kind of dumb but he is very much self-centered so I could see that in defense of him *heave*. The most aggravating things in the series are all set-ups that go seemingly nowhere.

  23. @scribus I'd get an Everdrive first because it seems to be a more versatile tool. I read that there is an unofficial firmware for the Everdrive that supports the mapper of NESMaker games.

  24. @scribus what is the homebrew hardware? Otherwise an Everdrive is a good deal any day saving you the money to hunt for expensive and rare games that are supposed by it.

  28. @scribus Depends, do you think HTML is a programming language or otherwise flex your nerd cred in a way that makes people that actually know a thing or two about that subject winge over in cringe ?

  29. @scribus That's actually funny and interesting in comparison of the Linux/Tux shirt I have. I have LINUX written on the front, whereas the text is additionally mirrored in the horizontal over the vertical axis of the X, and a classic Tux on the back.
