@scribus A very compelling argument but I'm not that guy who throws around stuff and makes the jobs of the movie theater personnel worse.
-
@scribus it’s so funny, Dion said those exact words to me last night, i’ve actually never seen Mortal Kombat.
-
@scribus You read my mind.
-
@scribus I’ve never even REMOTELY enjoyed a film adaptation of a video game. I loved Detective Pikachu. It’s not a perfect movie by any means but it’s still a great movie and I want this same crew to make more of them.

@scribus Hm. I agree that there are too many spider-themed super heroes at Marvel. Regular Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Spider Gwen, Silk, British Spider Man... There was a comic event with all of the spider people but I didn't care to read it. The recent Spider-Verse movie was splendid. I quite enjoyed it.

@scribus I don’t know but i’m bummed that I don’t know anyone in any involved party’s social circles. I was made aware of a TomSka-related beef MONTHS before it was finally revealed to the public and I spent those months going “hehe I know something you idiots don’t”

@scribus Isn't Miles Morales a beloved character? He and Spider Gwen. Both of their universes have a dead Peter Parker.
-
@scribus I cannot recall that. At least it's not an impostor who was Captain America right after the war

@scribus Reddit is ALWAYS screaming either at or in their own butt about really silly stuff.
It'll either be good or not, just like the comics. However I have a feeling that the comics end up being a whole lot better. Black Panther : The Bride was not exactly grade A material but it was still better than the average MCU movie in my honest opinion.
Besides the guy has an elongated guitar pick as standard arnament. He is going to be tough to write unless if you make one of his 'attributes' key.
Sudden realization
Oh hell no, I can see what they are doing now without even going to that Reddit. If I am right on this you can considder my reaction to that as pretty much this 5 second YouTube thing http://rainbowdash.net/url/874391 -
@scribus For those who are tangentially aware of the comics it's not a huge surprise. I don't understand why this can be controversial.
-
@scribus Tubesnake mixed with "My Neighbour Totoro"'s cat bus definitely!
-
@scribus I enjoyed it too quite a bit but it was more shocking along the way.
-
@scribus I had an idea just now to actually do it but have all the candidates listed just be pre-Bush so nobody can possibly get mad
-
@scribus yeah
-
@scribus It's a super hero movie where the protagonists have the super powers of driving extremely well and the feeling of family.
-
@scribus How does that differ from what I got RN ?
-
@scribus I believe it's an experiment to determine how hardcore Sonic fans are.

@scribus Level of investment?
Every once in a while I try to watch one of those MCU movies as I really loved the comics. I randomly picked one like a week ago and saw The Incredible Hulk, huge mistake. Truth is that they constantly seem to be mudding up a memory of something I love somehow, leaving loose ends for the fans to figure out, but they do this so blatantly that they might as well have flashy lights pointing out 'look at this sheeple movie-goers, this will be important later'. That or just making a reference for the comic fans. Purple Pants in The Incredible Hulk for instance.
So in short, the entire MCU is like fanfiction, but fanfiction that is self-aware and on dad-levels of meta.
Then why do I watch it? Well I like the universe, I like the superheroes.
Do I hate myself for watching these movies when I know they can not possibly be really enjoyable for me? I do not know T_T. Just gonna wait for the exception I think. I mean Blade was a proper homage for starters. -
@scribus Any reason why I want to see it in the cinema ? Instead of a home-cinema where I both have my hooves on the controls and am perfectly capable of throwing beercans, hopefully empty ones, at inconsiderate people.
-
@scribus Like those fancy theater performances where actors enter the audience!

@scribus Halfway there http://rainbowdash.net/url/874326

@scribus Don't bus drivers pee in a bottle?
-
@scribus Sitting behind a wheel when it is kinda hot & breathing dry air & constantly readjusting the buss's heading by whatever means is a hell of a more active engagement than just kicking back & passively relaxing.
I think some guy did a whole scientific test on this with actual bus drivers. I hope I can remember the name of the author so I can link it. -
@scribus I have been an athlete all along.
-
@scribus haha yup, I need to rearrange my entertainment center now.

@scribus Does this thing count http://rainbowdash.net/url/874315 ( Wikipedia photo )

@scribus Look up "eigenfaces". It's an application of "eigenimages" that use principal component analysis to pictures of human faces. In the process it generates an image that is an "average" image when each image of the set contributes the same amount to the final image. That can be used to recognize faces or morph faces.
The quality depends solely on the image set. The more faces are not aligned the "blurrier" it is and the more nightmarish it becomes.

@scribus Wetware ? Is that the thingie somewhere between shovel-ware and innate-shower-thoughts ?
