I like how I was struggling to successfully use RDN from a terminal, when of all people, I should've known exactly where to get a client I could comfortably use. *derp*

@bitshift You know lynx works perfectly fine for RDN. I've used it before.

@toksyuryel It does, but logging in is not so easy, given my password is long and not even slightly memorizable. Using a client with OAuth, though, means I can authorize it from a machine (in this instance, my phone) that's already logged in, and not have to type the password out. :)

@toksyuryel Plus, IdentiCurse is pretty much tuned for how I like to use statusnet, even if two of my favourite settings are non-default. :P

@mrdragon I made a goal of adding an Auction House to it. I neglected to make a goal of making sure we kept it. So yeah ☹ it's kind of funny really, one of the things I really liked about SK is circling back around to become one of the things that keep me from playing it- which is, that without spending a dime you can play for a good 2-3 hours a day before you run out of energy.. Playing the game for that long though makes me feel like I am wasting time I could better spend doing something else.

@redenchilada Comcast has hold music. I get to listen to it fairly often. They actually use pretty good music though, so I don't really have cause to complain about it. Sometimes I'll even get so into a song they're playing that I'll be a little bummed out when they answer my call in the middle of it.

@mrdragon I enjoy it. Buggy as all crap though. Expected of course since it's still deep in alpha and missing loads of features. What's there now is pretty fun though, once you get a handle on how everything works. "Getting it" is fairly simple, just download it from their website (or install it from your package manager).

I thought I was doing pretty good fighting a war on two fronts against yellow and blue. Turns out that was because THEY were both also fighting a war on two fronts, against both me and green. Now green is kicking my bananas ☹

So I figured out what I was doing wrong and why I couldn't seem to colonize hardly any planets. The brightness of the star matters a LOT, if it's not at least white you can't settle anything but your species's preferred environment without max population boosting techs because otherwise the max population will be negative.

@pokestrike Making products incompatible with different brands like that would be bad business. People see "blu-ray player that plugs into your TV" and expect it to work with their TV, regardless of brand. (As well it obviously should.) If it didn't, nobody would buy it.
