@vt3c Really don't get the whole numbering with the Iphones and ipdas because in the end it uses the same OS as last generations accept have a few tweaks and a few better components

@electroidfire The Macbook Air and the iMac they still have a little of an edge. They're not amazing specs, but ultrabooks aren't that light, and Windows all-in-ones just don't seem to have quite figured it out in general.

@eaglehooves True,but I mean with 600 to 700$ you can easily build or buy a PC that is atleast as fast as the Mac if not more but Macs do have a place for the standard consumer who aren't that Techy

ffmpeg is really frustrating to work with because it does not follow any of the rules. Its exit status is always 0 regardless of errors, it does not have a non-interactive mode or even a quiet mode, and it take a bit to start up so trying to script things to run after it has started is a trial and error process full of completely random and difficult to detect failures.

The most frustrating thing about shell scripting is that sometimes it will pretend to be parallel and sometimes it will pretend to be sequential. It is both- whichever one will irritate you the most at the time.

@zeldatra I thought the same, though I never hated it. I was just frightened of it. I reasoned right away that for it to be this prevalent it had to be doing SOMETHING right, but I was terrified of becoming like the fans of it I saw. It took several months and one very special friend of mine to get me to finally watch the show, and I don't regret it at all. My fear may have come true, but I learned that it wasn't something to be afraid of it all- it is, on the contrary, a very wonderful thing. ☺

But yeah. Fixed up my old logo override userscript. Was surprisingly little work, and it technically ought to work on the old design too, if we all of a sudden reverted to that (unlikely). http://bigmacintosh.net/f/rdn-logo-override.user.js if anyone wants it? (You'll need a way of running userscripts. Firefox+Scriptish tested, Chrome+Tampermonkey tested, other combinations ought to work.)
