@ceruleanspark and my point was that HOW the thing you tap to toggle wifi is presented isn't relevant - it does the same thing and you're still tapping on something. This whole discussion is starting to feel a lot like the old debate in how (Mac OS / Windows) is better because the window management buttons are on the (left / right).

@ceruleanspark The pulldown has been stock since 2.3 at the newest, maybe 2.2. They got it from the Cyanogen guys, I think. - In any case, why is a widget objectionable? It does the same task, so I don't see why the low-level details are relevant.

@ceruleanspark Android has wifi toggle and many other things in the pulldown bar, if you hold the home key it brings up a list of recently used apps, and you can configure it to go to the recent calls list when a call finishes. No idea what an active bezel is.

@eaglehooves haha, I just view anything within ten miles or so of 270 as still being Columbus. :) Kind of like how everything around Phoenix until you get to unpopulated desert is still Phoenix.

@eaglehooves I think there's two Targets within reasonable driving distance, and neither of them are worth visiting for pony stuff. Also, you're in Columbus, which is not exactly a small town. :)

@darklycute Around here they sure aren't. That'd explain why they always seem to have a couple of everything in stock, why Target never put out a Canterlot display, and why the Kmart people were entirely unaware that pony toys even existed.

#InOtherNews, I went to Toys'R'Us today to see if they have that display case thing with all the blind bag ponies in it. They don't. I asked them, and had a very interesting conversation with the guy who usually does all the shelving for that section. He said that ponies "aren't exactly popular" and that they just tend to sit on the shelves and take up space. (Then he asked if I was interested in either Strawberry Shortcake or Barbie, because they're more popular. WHAT.)
