*sigh* with the great upgrade marathon of yesterday, Synaptic was upgraded, too. Now it no longer uses my GTK theme, but the incredibly ugly (and non-dark) default GNOME theme - and it won't start from the menu either. (Al least starting it from a root terminal works). !grrr At least also-upgraded Chromium starts without any grumbles.

after uninstalling a load of gnome and gnome-related packages I can now (mostly) upgrade packages again; when i'm through I'll have to see which of the uninstalled packages I'll need to re-install !grrr :(
-
!grrr it seems (almost) everything using gnome somehow (including gnome things) is broken somehow - cannot upgrade or remove a lot of things... how on earth did that happen?
-
!grrr I am *sure* I wrote something yesterday - and today I cannot find it back :(
-
pffft... attempting to install a pyton application... it has an installer script but it seems to assume Debian - which was found inn a parameter not supported by setup.py on my Dennis (Fedora). Removed the option and ran the script again, and it completed without further grumbles and even installed a .desktop for my menu. Yay! No, #notyay: the menu item does nothing. Opening .desktop to find 'exec' line and then running that from a shell gives me more: module 'PySide' (whatever that is) is not found. So, now I need to find (and install, I guess) that. !grrr Still, I have the feeling I'm getting better at resolving problems like this! !photography #gettingbetteratlinux #thingsphotographersdo ;)

@mk > "The tooltips not showing seems to have been caused by a tab that was "stuck" loading (it was waiting for me to provide a username and password). Once the page finished loading, tooltips appear for me again." - now this bug is closed, but it turns out the exact same problem still exists: I found I DID have a tab with a login dialog (password-protected UI for phpDocumentor) waiting for me; once I'd logged in, the tooltips started to work again. !grrr

@mk so, I bnneed a whole day of reconfiguration just to get rid of all of Google's "improvements" for the rare cases I actually need to use the bloddy web interface. #Googleminus
-
@mk Oh, I see - they have added an "Account Chooser" just to make it more difficult!
-
!grrr Now Google is stuck on one account and I cannot find how to login to another! Why are they making things so extremely obnoxious?!
-
I just found it's not only Google Apps mail that doesn't work - regular Gmail doesn't either. :( Mail servers simply don't respond. Cannot see or open any mail since the 17th. Other mail accounts DO work in Thunderbird, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the client. !grrr

well, I created a ticket for Arvixe... I really cannot see how I can solve this myself. So now we wait...
-
!grrr I have phpDocumentor running - it happily produces documentation for source files like 'source.php' in a file called 'source.php.html' ... which on accessing with the browser PHP is trying to parse- and chokes on the very first line (xml directive)! looks like the server is set to make PHP parse .php* - cannot find where to change this. :(
-
@howcanuhavemyusername not yet... (though I want to try it out for some things at least) - that's *another* thing that takes time! Currently #piwigo and my #theme are my top priority right now, and I need to concentrate on that or it will never get finished #iknowmyself
-
!grrr 2 almost-simultaneous bills for hosting _ really need to move that stuff I have there! :( #savemoney #lackoftime (migrating websites can be a pain, you know)
-
@quix0r pushed what? I have a principle approach for how to replace this "behavior" so that plugins are more "theme friendly" - but the dev group should first agree this is indeed a better approach, otherwise just pushing my individual changes is pretty useless. I've had one discussion on the forum that touched on this butI'll have to talk with them more. #piwigo
-
*sigh* !grrr Google's Play Store is getting more and more irritating: I cannot go straight to (cont) http://tl.gd/n0gat8
-
btw: the !grrr in your dent isn't linked (I see you're a group member though)
-
@morgenland gut! :)
-
@morgenland grummel? There's a group for that! ;-) !grrr
-
I see you won't blend out that you have free time now ?
-
!grrr, Gandi's discount code for new gTLD I want doesn't actually work :( I hope they'll solve that quickly! Time is important in this process (that's one thing that is clear in the whole convoluted process and rules for the new gTLDs)
-
@erkanyilmaz Yes, but that is more a direct link - it's not 'linkified' from (parsing of) the text in any of my dents
-
let me subscribe too and do some test in a hidden group (to not disturb others), from what I see it's linked here: http://oracle.skilledtests.com/notice/354606
-
@mk a possible clue: !beer still doesn't appear in the (local?) 'Group directory' - I think that means a record in some table at oracle has not been created yet? @erkanyilmaz
