  2. And then there was rewriting. Fortunately, I think I can work with this.

  3. @tigerdusk Yeah, it's pretty cool. A couple hours? Are you going forward in time? =)

  4. @jackzhang Doh. Sorry to hear it.

  5. @tigerdusk K has a G3.5 Rainbow Dash in Spanish packaging from one of our trips to Puerto Vallarta, now that I think of it.

  6. @thepuzzldpirate Yeah, the Canadian shipping cost sucks.

Friday, 21-Oct-11 20:22:50 UTC from StatusNet iPhone in context
  7. @tigerdusk Well, I brought K's G3 Rainbow Dash plushie and the G3 bag thingy along last time and no one seemed to mind.

  8. @asvendius @thepuzzldpirate Yeah, I ordered some stuff from WLF but had it shipped to a friend in the States.

  9. @janktrio @robotsnblasters Greetings to both of you.

  10. @tigerdusk Just over 36 hours!

Friday, 21-Oct-11 00:34:56 UTC from StatusNet iPhone in context
  11. @tigerdusk Maybe! Hmm, that would be more than a little weird.

  12. @tigerdusk I was thinking more of the effect of gem shards on one's digestive tract. Ouch.

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 23:48:01 UTC from web in context
  13. @tigerdusk Clearly. The guy eats gems.

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 23:33:56 UTC from web in context
  14. @asvendius Huh, I wasn't aware of that either. It's unfortunate that Orson Scott Card is a complete nutbar, but I do try to keep my feelings about artists separate from my feelings about their work.

  15. @asvendius I've been meaning to read Ender's Game. It's sitting on my Kobo waiting for me to get to it.

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 22:37:05 UTC from web in context
  16. @tigerdusk Hmm. Applejack's sleep deprivation -> weakened immune system -> catches something nasty and passes it on in muffins? Yeah, I think I'll just trail off on that thought...

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 22:36:25 UTC from web in context
  17. @redtie Yeah, I'm in an SF/F book club with some former coworkers and we read Foundation. I found it a little bit heavy on the science and light on the fiction for my liking - I prefer more character-driven fiction, generally - but I think it was worth reading. As for Heinlein, I've read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, and was actually thinking of writing a jokey MLP/TMiaHM crossover because of the whole "New Lunar Republic" thing. My mom's a bit of a science fiction buff, too.

  18. @redtie Nice. I've got a Kobo as well. Actually, I've got The Door Into Summer sitting on my nightstand but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'm a big fan of Neal Stephenson, as SF goes.

  19. @asvendius Man, I hear that. I find concentrating on my breathing helps sometimes. It's really tough to keep your mind clear - takes a lot of practice. And I find often that the harder I try to get to sleep, the more it eludes me.

  20. @tigerdusk I guess the ponies getting sick in Applebuck Season isn't really an ailment as such.

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 14:18:56 UTC from web in context
  21. @tigerdusk Yeah, I saw the description of the episode. I'm looking forward to that one.

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 05:30:01 UTC from web in context
  22. @redtie Yeah, good question.

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 05:29:38 UTC from web in context
  23. @tigerdusk See, I knew it would be sooner!

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 05:28:34 UTC from web in context
  24. @tigerdusk @redtie One hopes! Though it would provide some pretty heavy friendship lessons as the basis for an episode. And yeah, I wonder what the relationship between Apple Bloom and Twist is even like now... that kind of just faded away and it's kind of a fridge logic thing for me. I do wonder if Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle's cutie marks will be at all related to their G3 incarnations' cutie marks, though G3 Scootaloo's (a butterfly and flowers) seems a bit girly for G4 Scootaloo.

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 01:04:13 UTC from web in context
  25. @tigerdusk I always wonder if they'll all get their cutie marks in the course of the show or if it'll end up being a "thing" forever, and how it'll affect the CMCs if they do start getting their cutie marks. The last one to get it is going to feel terrible.

  26. @tigerdusk Hush now, quiet now, it's time to go to BED! Well, we've seen the Running of the Leaves and Winter Wrap Up, which are arguably holidays, though they mostly seem to involve extra work...

Thursday, 20-Oct-11 00:01:07 UTC from web in context
  27. @tigerdusk I'm one of those rare people whose favorite CMC is Sweetie Belle, so that works for me. =)

  28. @andranator2 Welcome to the (local) herd.

Wednesday, 19-Oct-11 19:56:45 UTC from web in context
  29. @tigerdusk Yeah, there are a lot of G1 influences if you know some of the source material. I've heard it suggested that the old castle is a G1 reference, too.

  30. @tigerdusk Thanks! Yeah, I'm just in the process of finishing part 2, but it's going to go through a fair bit of editing.
