@mrmattimation If you're not soliciting opinions wouldn't it be more effective to get a blog and turn off the comment section?

@mrmattimation He looks like a giant sneezed on him.

This day in the multiverse: Over ten thousand people died to prove a silly point.
-
@mrmattimation I guess since I'm not a Californian anymore I'm okay with that.
-
"What happened back there?"
"I dunno Jerry, why don't you ask the smartest people in the universe? Oh wait, you cAAaan't. They blew up." -
@mrmattimation I must be lucky because in all the time I worked produce we never got a single recall
-
@thismightbeauser The previous message was sarcasm. Hopefully that was obvious.
-
@mrmattimation Isn't that a good word for all of them since they've rebelled against the *flawless* sexual differentiation process that *definitely* doesn't produce intersex people?

@drinkingpony @scribus The walls and stuff remind me of a Dwarf Fortress tileset.

TIL: You can move the subtitle in a YouTube video. This would have been especially helpful for those videos that have captions right in the default place the subtitles appear.

@scribus The more I read about this the more angry it makes me. A large portion of the state got wiped out due to PG&E's negligence.
-
@scribus That looks really cool! I've been meaning to make a fighting game for my C64, but I keep getting hung up on the title art. Or literally all the art.
-
@scribus You'll get splinters that way

It seems a little suspect to me that the California DMV can send me a lien notice faster than they can send me my title and registration

@scribus As big as hams!

@scribus I actually found an implementation of the servers needed for VoLTE, so I might try that. Doesn't seem like many people have tried it before though. The problem is that both stacks include a home subscriber service. I think I need to pick just one and point the other to it, but since both are semi monolithic I'm not sure if that will be possible.
-
@scribus That's pretty neat. So the stream comes over 3G network and gets blasted over FM?

@scribus It's lovely http://rainbowdash.net/url/875283

Sadly no voice calls though. I assigned the SIM a 555 number for nothing.

There is something mystifying about using a SIM card to connect to your computer directly over LTE with a software defined radio. I even got the internet to route over it.
-
@drinkingpony Does it have training wheels? That seems like it would be a good place to start.
-
It seems like our router was hijacked or something, but I honestly have no idea. My phone said I needed to sign in, which redirected to a URL lushka (dot) ml (slash) captive, which seems like it may have been a Mastodon instance at some point? Now it's just Nginx with the default "I'm Nginx!" webpage.
-
At least it certainly hasn't changed dramatically enough to warrant that. Maybe "Keep Strengthening America" or some such would be more modest.

@mrmattimation I noticed the "Keep America Great" hanging on a housemate's rack and I just wondered how anyone could possibly believe that anything changed for the better over this presidency

Just when I thought I was pretty reasonably experienced with GNU, I tripped over some weird library loading issue. Apparently there's a cache of library path resoultions in /etc/ld.so.cache, and *apparently* the install script for my library didn't refresh it, so when I ran my program it said the library wasn't there when it clearly was, and using ldd to view all the subdependencies worked correctly, but would say `not found` for each of the custom libraries needed, even though those were also Definitely There. This weirdo command `ldconfig` fixed /etc/ld.so.cache and it worked again.

The female counterpart to the Chad, in slang, is the "Trixie".

@scribus Goes to show criminals aren't usually that smart. Bitcoin isn't anonymous by nature, but it's possible to remain anonymous if you're careful.

So I guess Papyrus' fanon voice is supposed to be a friendlier variation of Skeletor? That's cool, I guess.
