@shpuld tfw filthy commies were planning for subway here and started digging stations/underpasses but they were so structurally unsound they got sealed without much use.

@shpuld yeah, I'm so glad they aparently bragged so much about it that it'd be too embarrassing if something did happen. The decision was last minute too - people already had bought space for stores there back then.
I saw a video of one of those sealed tunnels just before they were filled up - it didn't collapse but walls were very weirdly and visibly broken. Ceilings had many reinforcements too.
One such underpass is still functioning BTW - it was the only one stable but I don't know if it was supposed to be expanded into a subway station. Would make sense since it's a bus/tram cluster, I guess.

@roka @shpuld @archaeme Alcohol doesn't freeze as easily as water, so replacing the bloodstream with an alcohol-based solution would allow finns to discard the need for clothing in the cold, and since it evaporates faster than water, it'd also allow them to perspirate fast enough to survive the saunapocalypse.

@mrmattimation If you can pass the tests, probably. Depth perception isn't THAT critical on day to day driving, you can make up for it in most scenarios by relying on looking carefully rather than how far you feel things are.

for real, kinda disappointed my plan to put all these computer parts into an old case from 1995 didn't end up panning out. I really wanted to build the crappiest looking PC.

@nerthos we just decided it'd be easier to work with a newer case. it's not fancy tho, no LEDs or glass panels or banana like that, it's basically just a black box.

@mrmattimation Oh. Well you could always get one of those super-tower cases from the 90s that are the same size as modern ones, just plain and old looking since they were for enterprises.

@mrmattimation The phenom II had a really good stock cooler too. Unless you overclock it it'll keep the CPU at <40 no matter the usage.
