!vancouverbronies Hey guys, let's keep this group more specific to the stuff that's relevant to the group and not have too much extra one-on-one discussion cluttering it. Also, just so people know, Ashleigh Ball's band Hey Ocean! is playing at the PNE on Monday the 5th (Labour Day). Stop by if you want, but bear in mind that she's performing with her band, so don't give your attention solely to her and barrage them all with pony stuff. If you're going, go for the band but maybe wear pony paraphernalia so they know you're a fan from both sides. Also, show the band some support! She's an awesome person (voice of AJ and RD if you don't know), buy an album or two or something.

!vancouverbronies Any particular reason we're doing a Saturday instead of a Sunday? I work Saturdays... Not sure if I'd make it either way, though, but I'm fairly certain I wouldn't if it's Sat.
-
!vancouverbronies Whoo! Footage from the PNE meetup is here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcJhN_qYcfE Too bad we never got around to some sort of group photo, but rain.
-
!vancouverbronies @tequilasunrise Oh, and I failed to mention that it's at 10 AM EST, so 7 AM PST.

@tequilasunrise !vancouverbronies Bear in mind that the 17th is the day the new episode airs.
-
!vancouverbronies @echron1000 Bear in mind that the plan for the next meetup isn't until like a month from now, so not too much rush. Also, I don't think a "no-fly list" would be good, since everyone's got different tastes. If there's a vegetarian in the group and we instigate a "no-meat" rule, it'll ruin it for the more carnivorously-inclined of us. If anyone has any food preferences like that or any allergies, post 'em and they'll be taken into consideration and hopefully people will keep that in mind and will bring some alternatives.
-
@tigerdusk !vancouverbronies I believe it's her balcony door or maybe just a window or something like that. She's still on the top floor either way. @flutterguy22 I think it'd be better to plan these one at a time for now.

So I goofed and I posted my Pony Swag verse with the thing set to private. Here, have it again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTYS-2EC9vA

@tequilasunrise Awwww yeah. Also, I'm probably the only guy to ever rap using that word.

YO RDNET PEEPS BRONYMIKE GOT A PONY SWAG VERSE UP WHAAAAAAAAAT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTYS-2EC9vA

!vancouverbronies @echron1000 Chips, soda, maybe sandwiches or something, I dunno. If anyone has a portable barbecue we could maybe turn it into that and people could bring some meat or veggie-meat or what have you.
-
!vancouverbronies Someone else plan it this time, I'm a bit pooped out.

My summary on here: Meetup went pretty well. Started a bit rocky, waiting in the rain for people to show up, then it remained rocky as we walked around forever trying to find places to eat or sit or things to do, but then there was the dog show and lunch which got us rested and more energized, the rain cut down a bit, we checked out some marketplaces, we painted poni all over a van, and we saw some cool vehicular tricks and stuff. I'd say once we actually around to doing some stuff and not just walking all over the place (and once the rain slowed and stopped) it wound up being a fun day. Awesome time, guys.

!vancouverbronies Be warned, though, the pegasi are grumpy we didn't invite them and they may make it rain on our festivities. Bring an umbrella or a coat. Bright side: If weather sucks, shorter lines!

@flutterguy22 !vancouverbronies 21. REMINDER: Meeting tomorrow at benches in northeast Callister Park (http://oat.nu/0oe7a). Try to show up around 9-9:30, we'll enter the PNE at 11.
-
@cracky !vancouverbronies Well I've been phrasing it as 9-11 just in case anyone has big issues with traffic or parking or stuff like that. People, see if you can aim to be there at 9:30. Don't aim to arrive at 11, since that's when we'll actually be entering the park.
-
HI GUYS HERE'S MY LATEST VIDEO. It has ponies skimming along the ground. Fun stuff. www.youtube.com/watch?v=20fL16CNzbQ

@mrbrown I use RDNet like I use Facebook, almost exclusively for event planning. Yeah. If you want, I could constantly whore out my stuff. ...Actually, come to think of it, that would be a decent way to get more views. Especially on stuff that can't get put up on EqD for silliness.
-
@mrbrown I... wha?
-
@mrbrown Wha-huh?

!vancouverbronies Big reminder, PNE meetup/hangout is Monday! "Tomorrow" (Quotes because it's like 12:35 so we're not really into Sunday yet)! Those of you who know people not on RDNet but who might still be interested, make sure to invite them as well, the more the merrier. I got some sticky nametags just for the heck of it and a bunch of Sharpies. Might be a bit dorky, but I also got markers, maybe we could spruce them up somehow. No need to get or wear one if you don't want to, they're mostly just to make it easier to identify members of our group. Monday, 9-11, NE Callister Park benches.
-
!vancouverbronies Reposting this just for the sake of it being higher up: The meetup is on Monday the 22nd, and entry to the PNE is free from 9-12 on that day. Between 9 and 11 we'll be meeting up at the benches in the northeast corner of Callister Park (http://oat.nu/0oe7a). I'll be wearing my RBD shirt and my black hat with a rainbow dash pin on it, hopefully we'll be able to all find each other. We leave at 11 to enter the park for free. We check out exhibits and whatever the fair has, however people wanting to go on rides will have to buy their own separate passes. I probably will. At the initial meetup, some of us should exchange phone numbers just in case we get split up, and with an event such as this, I imagine we'll wind up being in a few sub-groups. For lunch and possibly dinner, there's a White Spot Triple-O's in the park as well as a bunch of food stands and stuff, so if you want this to be as cheap as possible, just bring yourself a snack and it shouldn't cost you a dime.

@cracky !vancouverbronies Do I spy a pony toy on the bench in the middle? Very nice. Northeast it is, then. I'm working on a post to send to EqD.
-
!vancouverbronies @cracky How big is Callister Park? Will we be able to easily find each other? I'd hate for some people to somehow get lost. If anyone thinks they'll need it, I suppose you can email me at bronymike@derpymail.net and I'll give you my phone number, just in case you're running late or something.
-
@rotation Neat, thanks for the heads-up.
-
@mrdragon I'm just concerned I'll wind up with an email each time one of them posts something, even if it's completely unrelated to me.
-
@mrdragon Does a subscription do anything else, besides enabling inbox/outbox messages?

Yo guys, I heard there's some way to privately message someone on RDNet. How the hell?

!vancouverbronies A reminder of the plan (since some people seem confused about this): This is on Monday the 22nd, and entry to the PNE itself is free from 9-12 on that day. Between 9 and 11 we'll be meeting up at Callister Park (http://oat.nu/0oe7a). I'll be wearing my RBD shirt and my black hat with a rainbow dash pin on it, hopefully we'll be able to all find each other. We leave at 11 to enter the park for free.
