  1. @eaglehooves This baby is over four years old and, aside from some cosmetic accidents, only needs a bit more RAM to be up-to-date. I love my Latitude.

    1. @javablast Mine's only a few months old, but it's already proved to be a workhorse (pony). It's not the most powerful, but the battery life is great and I don't have any of the heat issues my buddies who dumped all their money on gaming laptops do.

      1. @eaglehooves ...gaming laptops. That's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

        1. @rpb3000 I know 2 people that have them. Alienware ones that are seriously hardcore and customizable.

          1. @delc17 I've looked into them before. They're very expensive and still don't really meet the power potential of equivalently-expensive desktops. It's kinda a silly concept.

            1. @rpb3000 @delc17 @eaglehooves Sacrificing power potential for the same or greater price for the sake of portability is a valid (yet incredibly stupid) decision.

              1. @trombe If it were a laptop I was buying just to mess around/game with, it would have been stupid, but as it is I need to move this one around a lot. That, and my school gives big discounts if you buy off of the list of approved laptops, so I couldn't have made that trade off if I wanted to.
