With all the books Twilight has read, how had she not heard of a sonic Rainboom, even though she witnessed one first-hand as a filly, and it was the pivotal moment in her life that caused her to get her cutie mark AND become Celestia's student.

@daisymare But considering the fact that the sonic Rainboom was what got her her cutie mark, and got her to be Celestia's student, I would have assumed that she would have looked up "rainbow explosion" in the giant library at Canterlot.

@nvrrmbr Perhaps except for the fact that she when all Dark Phenix and probably just didn't notice the connection since her powers went crazy and almost killed them all.

@nvrrmbr I'll have to rewatch that episode but I think she didn't so much see it as heard about it from other ponies in Canterlot.
