@scribus It all depends on who you know. I just happen to be friends with ones that are artists and have stable jobs, as well as social skills. Usuaaaly any two of those are awesome people.

@gangstashy I knew a few good ones. One I'm still in touch with, damn good guy. But, yeah, it seemed like most of the people I encountered were everything Faux News claimed they were. I'm sure they just stood out due to massive fail, but still. Scarring.

@gangstashy I think CaliFur would be more likely (if that even still exists). Especially given impending unemployment and being new at whatever my next job will be.

@scribus Califur is still going on, I went to this years in June and popped my furcon cherry there. On the schedule they had a Brony meetup but I missed it because I drank too much the night before. XD Although, they did show the pilot there. Attracted a rather large crowd, too.

@gangstashy heh Oh, con-drunkenness. I shocked the hell out of people at CaliFur the year I went. I got hilariously smashed and still showed up for breakfast the next day. Turns out, Guinness and Jack can look almost exactly like Pepsi when mixed right.
