  1. I am entirely unsatisfied that nobody purchased an umbrella hat from that guy

    1. @ceruleanspark That's what I said!

    2. @ceruleanspark Their loss. They'll get their due. All it'll take is a "twitcha twitch" and they'll see.

      1. @fallinwinter Well, it did tip it down briefly afterwards... Still, turns out that leg-twitch, eye-flutter, scalp-itch means 'don't stop to talk to this man, because he isn't listening to you, and keeps insisting that you are going to hell'.

        1. @pawnheart I'm certainly going to hell. I wonder how he'd have reacted to me saying "Yeah probably. 'S a bit late worrying about that now isn't it?"

          1. @ceruleanspark The guy told me that not believing in God was the biggest sin there was... implicitly placing it above mass-genocide... I mean, how big an ego has this deity got?!

            1. @pawnheart I've always been a big fan Bender's attitude: There's no god and your human ideals are laughable.

              1. @ceruleanspark Still I suppose if there was a meet and greet, and there were folks saying 'Oh I'm Craig, and I make the fake utensils for IKEA kitchen displays' and I introduced myself with 'hi, I made everything.'... guess I would have a tough time not feeling a touch superior. But then again... I am merely a pony, with all the weaknesses that implies.

                1. @pawnheart That's when I tend to skirt around it until somepony else decides to introduce me. That way I feel less like I'm trying to sell myself.

                  1. @fallinwinter Its always a tricky subject. I'm always cool with people telling me about their beliefs... Would be nice though if, when they ask me something, they return the gesture by listening to my responses from time to time. Must be easy to believe stuff when you don't have to listen to anyone elses view. I have to stop my rantin'...

                    1. @pawnheart As for belief, I'm pretty cool with listening to other religions and stuff. I don't really have one per se, but I enjoy finding other people's ideals, picking the parts make sense to me and bunch them all into what I see as my own ideals. Making my own religion in a rudimentary sense.

                      1. @fallinwinter That sounds like a good philosophy

                  2. @fallinwinter You seem very cool, btw!

                    1. @pawnheart Thanks, I'm glad everypony here is so chatty and open.

                      1. @fallinwinter Yeah, we're normally pretty laid back about stuff.

                      2. @fallinwinter Well, I hope you find it a nice place to hang... but like, any chat-room, there are occasional trolls and mischief-makers.

                        1. @pawnheart I like to think I handle parasprites well. Approach by simply stating my views and if they don't want to even listen, then there's nothing left to say to them.

            2. @pawnheart My mom's friend believes that there's no god and any sign of one is just the devil messing with us. I think I'm okay with that if that means it may be Trollestia.

Thursday, 06-Oct-11 12:12:40 UTC from web
              1. @fallinwinter I've never heard of that view before. How can you have one but not the other?

Thursday, 06-Oct-11 12:13:28 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                1. @ceruleanspark @fallinwinter That's a pretty interesting standpoint, you've got to say!

                2. @ceruleanspark Well if you don't look at it from a historical point of view and just imagine them being there like say, Celestia and Luna, it'd be like Celestia making everypony think Luna was still around after being banished for 1000 years.

              2. @fallinwinter As pawnheart said, sorry if I just offended somepony. It's not exactly my belief, but I'm not exactly going to ask anyone to change theirs.

Thursday, 06-Oct-11 12:14:45 UTC from web
            3. @pawnheart Apologies if anypony was offended by that... I'm open to having my mind changed by faith, I know a lot of ponies it has helped and nourished... however, I refuse to believe that 'Non-belief' is THE cardinal sin. Especially from a figure who makes such a big deal out of self-sacrifice. That is merely my view. [RANT ENDS]

        2. @pawnheart I was always curious about how many "nigly feelings" could make up one combo. Can't imagine memorizing them all.

          1. @fallinwinter It's probably intuitive to her.
