      1. @jojo It's dead for its purpose of providing entertainment then. That was 4chans value, and it has been removed. Just because the users killed it themselves doesn't make it any less dead.

    2. @abigpony They're both examples of self selection leading to inbreeding. Reddit just managed to loop its colon back into its mouth faster than 4chan because it has a visible scoring system.

    3. @abigpony By the literal definition of pretention, they're both equally pretentious. The difference is what they're pretending to be. Reddit is pretending that they're geniuses that can solve all the worlds problems and 4chan are pretending they're the cool tough kids on the internet.

    4. @abigpony The link between the two is that both groups of people think that posting on a message board makes them better than people who do not post on that message board. The only difference is the reason they're convinced they're superior.
