  9. @abigpony They do keep track of the demographics that buy their kiwi. I guarantee that most of the "bronies" that buy their dole don't influence their decisions that much. Moms buying stuff for their little girls makes Hasbro much more money than anyone here ever could that thats why the show is still on the air.

  12. @abigpony No, I guarantee that hasbro doesn't openly give out money to the show. The animation studio and writers ask for money, which has nothing to do with how well the toys are selling. We would have gotten season 2 anyway. Its still a very successful marketing tool, you people aside.

  13. @abigpony But thats it, My Little Pony was nothing more than a marketing gimmick to sell toys to little children. The toys are something completely different than buying an indie game to support some small developer. There is the social stigma that goes with the toys, which I agree with. Also, Hasbro doesn't give two grapess about this community, they just want more moneh from parents of small children (mostly girls). Buying the toys doesn't give a thumbs up to the writers or animation company, the people who you guys are really fans of.

  14. @fallinwinter I care about what the public perception of what it is to be normal. I like Adventure time and Regular show because they are not "girly" shows but I wouldn't go around proclaiming my love for this show (I don't really like it that much as I just end of making fun of it when I watch new episodes.) I still care about others opinions because I want to be accepted into normal society. I just know how to keep nerdoms at bay, just like normal people should.

  15. @communistprime The sketch is fine because its a collectors item and will be worth something in the future but the shirts and posters are stuff that most people would shun you for.

  16. @abigpony Well mine is how serious you take the fandom. I'm talking kiwi like "everypony" and using horse terms in everyday life. Also having them little toys meant for little girls and posters and kiwi. I see stuff like that CONSTANTLY

  17. @abigpony My definition of crazy is more like the global definition of crazy. You wouldn't include some people but I most likely would.

  19. @abigpony Reverse that saying when dealing with these people.

Thursday, 13-Oct-11 06:56:59 UTC from web in context
  20. @ceruleanspark The more obscure it was, the smaller amount of crazy people could know about it. It was originally about people who watched cartoons who had an appreciation of a well done cartoon but then turned into pretty much what the pony thread simulators are parodying (but this time they are serious). Its pretty much the sonic community all over again.

  22. @abigpony The way it was was the people who genuinely liked the show came around Nov-Jan and left when all of the crazies started taking over which started happening around May-ish since there were no new episodes. The fandom will die in 1-1 1/2 years tops.
