@ceruleanspark @leonkfox The "New" Luna, as many ponies erroneously called her. I had no problems with the depiction whatsoever. My grievances with that ep (if they can honestly be called that) pretty much come down to what I felt was an unsatisfying conclusion. Seriously... did they insert the audio file from a different ep for Twilight's friendship report?

@pawnheart Dear Princess Celestia. This week I learned that yelling at people in old-timey english and flooding their homes with animate toy spiders makes them not want to be my friend.

@ceruleanspark Well, that would've made more sense, tbh. It felt like they were hinting at something in the final report that got lost in the episode proper, and had a lot of potential: the parallels between the return of Luna and Twi's first experiences in Ponyville.

@pawnheart I enjoyed that episode as well as the "canon" Luna too. It had some pretty hilarious moments. And memes. I do dislike how the message had been done considering I don't exactly think everyone's fine with being scared out of their wits.

@pawnheart @leonkfox @ceruleanspark The only thing I didn't like of that EP was Luna's mane. Fav EP of season 2 (excluding return of harmony) 'til now.

@nerthos I really like her mane

@ceruleanspark You, sir, won all the internets.

@nerthos My personal favourite was "Sisterhooves Social" but I loved Luna Eclipsed as well. There's not been an episode I've not liked/loved this season actually. (Thus far anyway)

@leonkfox Sweetie Belle's new voice actor ruined the fun a bit. It felt weird.

@leonkfox Its been good! Its also been strange... each episode, more so than was evident in series one, seems to have had its own vibe and pacing. 'Sisterhooves' was good... but I think I prefer 'Cutie Pox'... as much as I enjoy Tabitha St Germain going completely over the top!

@nerthos The more I rewatch... the more 'Lesson Zero' is possibly marking itself as my favourite of the series. 'The Cutie Pox' is also , IMO, probably the best CMC-centric episode there has been.

@pawnheart Because it's about Applebloom and the rest of them aren't in it. Same as how everyone's favourite CMC episode of Call of the Cutie.
-
@ceruleanspark ...yeah, guess I still haven't warmed that much to Sweetie Belle, in particular. "Sweetie Belle (tm) is shrill! But excitingly, her personality is pretty much a blank slate!".

@pawnheart I usually skip the friendship reports, in all honesty I don't care much for them on the whole, blantantly stating the moral of the episode in order to ensure the audience got it, I know it's a kids show but not all kids shows do this, it's one of my very few problems with the show.
-
@leonkfox I actually like them, providing they tie up nicely with the episode. Which in the case of 'Luna Eclipsed', it didn't really. I think 'Lesson Zero' is an example of an episode where it was done very well.

@pawnheart "Dear Princess Celestia: Today i learnt that mental breakdowns, psychosis, stalking little filles and starting fights, aren't good for making friends."

@nerthos Makes sense! I do think it was cool that there was actually a second, more subtle, message involving the rest of the mane 6 as well. @leonkfox It may be odd, but I do really dig the 'parable' aspect of show!

@pawnheart Lesson Zero's was more tolerable than most, but still, I prefer to skip them on the whole, for the reason I stated just now.
