  1. I've been hearing a lot of talk abotu Skyrim lately. Obviously it's a good game, but in terms of preference I wish to determine if it would be a game I'd like. I did enjoy the Fallout Games (also by Bethesda studios), and I enjoy most JRPGs. Would Skyrim be up my alley as well?

    1. @tenmihara I haven't played it myself, but a friend said it's the most like a pen-and-paper D&D game that he's ever seen on a computer.

      1. @scribus Is it available on console? I've never been a big PC gamer (I do however, LOVE D&D)

        1. @tenmihara Yeah, it's on console (PS3, Xbox 360)

        1. @nerthos heh I dug the PS2 Baldur's Gate games. Not at all like D&D (actually, much more like Diablo) but it was a lot of fun nonetheless. I like giving my new character end-game gear by abusing the "load one character into a different campaign" feature. :3

          1. @scribus I never played either the PS2 nor the GBA BG games, but I loved the old 1998 and 2000 PC games.

            1. @nerthos I don't suppose you ever played Swords and Serpents on the NES?

              1. @scribus No, I never played too much NES games. Mostly duck humt, hogan's alley, mario 2 and 3, the tanks one with lots of copys, and things like that.

                1. @nerthos Yeah, it was a kind of a rare one, anyway. Mostly reminded of it because of the bringing one character into another campaign thing. Swords and Serpents had five passwords for every save - one for each of the four characters, and one for the game itself.

                  1. @scribus I miss password saving.

                    1. @nerthos I've lost so many notebooks full of game passwords. . .

                      1. @scribus They were mostly in pieces of paper under the keyboard for me.

    2. @tenmihara Imagine Fallout 3 in a medieval setting without vats and swords with each "skill" being leveled up by doing the specified skill instead of just putting points into the skill at level up. Unless I missed anything, that about sums it up.

      1. @fallinwinter Oops, I meant in a medieval setting with "swords bows and magic instead of guns without vats"

      2. @fallinwinter don't forget about MAGIC! (not I'm not talking about friendship)
