    So I've come to the conclusion that Twilight's adventures so far have been some sort of controlled experiment by Celestia who is using everypony to form Twilight into the perfect friendship making machine. This is why the ponies mysteriously follow her everywhere.

            @ceruleanspark I guess we could say that explains why Colgate left to ponyville if she's Heartstring's friend. What about when almost everypony in Ponyville showed up in Appleloosa?

              @fallinwinter The episode is set chronologically after Swarm of the Century. Celestia had to evacuate Ponyville to fumigate it with the suns nuclear fire to cleanse it of the remaining parasprites. The whole town got a free trip to Appleoosa.
