                  1. @scribus Yikes! Damn thing has 48 Hit Dice (where Hit Dice generally equates to level for unclasses creatures)

                    1. @tenmihara Oh, yeah, that is usually the case. I tended to focus on CR and sorta mix the meanings a bit there. !derp XD

                    2. @tenmihara Even a Great Wyrm Red Dragon only has 40 HD @_@ Plus the Tarrasque has 15 Damage Reduction/Epic, meanign you can't even scratch it without being epic level

                      1. @tenmihara You have to leave something for the higher levels, right?

                        1. @nerthos According to the Monster Manual, the Tarrasque is one of a kind. Think of the glory one could obtain for slaying it!

                              1. @tenmihara I didn't make it too far into my only session of DnD. We didn't even have pieces, we just kinda played.

                                    1. @carcino Heh, funny. My paladin ended up in jail at level 3 too, but because he got involved in an underground fight for the throne of a province.

                                      1. @nerthos I thought it would be funny to go on a killing spree. It was, almost killed another player character while I was at it. Ended up in jail next to this blind lizard guy.

Tuesday, 29-Nov-11 07:28:08 UTC from StatusNet Android
                                        1. @carcino Killing sprees are always fun, but you have to make sure to be stronger than the gurads. I remember killing a player one time, because he insulted cats. (A reason was needed, because the character had equipped cursed items, and the only way to remove them was killing him. My character was the only one with enough damage output to penetrate his armor.)

                                            1. @carcino My DM only allows to kill other players without consecuences, when the player is being a complete apples and spoiling the game. But luckily, now I don't have to worry anymore about it. The idiots are long gone.

                                              1. @nerthos I only played once and it was with a bunch of dudes I didn't know all too well and were a year above me. It just kinda happened and I was all 'I wanna play sure, but DMC4 is priority'

                                                1. @carcino Yeah, I know what you mean. When I started playing, was with two friends and other guy. Then two more joined, and I scared away the mage.

                                                  1. @nerthos I was like, an evil knight dude with a scythe. I killed a guy by spitting on his face and he fell back onto a rock and died. I was confused but whatever.

                                                    1. @carcino Ubntil now, I played an elf paladin, two elf mages in separate one-shot campaigns, and a half-demon battlemage.

                                                        1. @carcino Haha, yeah, I played a sin'dorei paladin in WoW. They see me pwning, they hatin'. The other players raged, and I simply said "Duel without gear". I never lost one, it was so fun xD

Tuesday, 29-Nov-11 07:49:20 UTC from web
                          2. @tenmihara Yeah, and you have to seal it with a miracle/desire spell, that means a 20+ cleric/mage with at least 18 intellect. It's more useful as a weapon of mass devastation, though. You destroy it's body, then gather a piece, and leave it in the capital of your enemy. Wait 1d6 days, and the tarrasque erases it from the face of earth. It has the higher constitution of the monster manual, and the blood is one of the most potent poisons. Pretty useful.

                            1. @nerthos As always, when faced with such a creature in a fantasy setting, I can't help but want to fight one. I always go for the Mega Bosses in Final Fantasy and related games.

                              1. @tenmihara Do as I did, just raise your character's power. When you hit the cap of legendary levels, you can simply walk into one and kill it.

Tuesday, 29-Nov-11 07:23:29 UTC from web
                                1. @nerthos Where and when did you pull that off? I've never played a tabletop D&D game past lvl 19

Tuesday, 29-Nov-11 07:27:29 UTC from web
                                  1. @tenmihara With a couple of friends, one is a DM since 9 years ago. But he likes to do thinks like putting a giant atop the tarrasque to increase it's damage, for example. Still, when you have the ability to drain your god to the point of becoming it's physical manifestation, is pretty easy do kill it. You just have to suffer 39 levels of agonizing pain, and try to avoid dying too much.

                                      1. @tenmihara Once you get there, it's all fun. The trick is making the others die for you, avoiding certain death moments.

                                        1. @nerthos hehe; were you playing a good or evil campaign?

Tuesday, 29-Nov-11 07:34:36 UTC from web
                                          1. @tenmihara Neither, it is more a "Fight for the continued existence of your plane, for when no heroes stand, the primordial god of evil shall be incarnated on the land, and the plane destroyed" A prequel 400 years before the original one in wich the players defeated that god. I just want to forge the most powerful character of the plane, and I'm at one step from it. Only a player who used his character for nine years and is pretty much invincible stands in the way.
