@ceruleanspark This was the same group where one got convinced to take his computer apart and set it outside in the middle of winter to kill a virus he had picked up, then to bring it back in, put it together, and boot it up before it could warm back up from freezing... we never saw him again.

@colfax Oh. I managed to convince a guy to run his PC inside a freezer to boost his framerate, but it didn't have the desired effect. Apparently HP Laptops are more resistant to condensation than I had anticipated. Still, it was hilarious to watch him livestream from the inside of a chest freezer.

@colfax Shards of glass and imploding vacuum tubes I would imagine. I used to throw hard disks out of the window for "secure destruction", but my current office isn't tall enough so I just have to to bash them with a claw hammer.

@ceruleanspark That's what I miss with the current glut of flat panels monitors, if you pull an Elvis on them it's not as interesting as blowing the back out of a CRT.
