    3. @purpletinker Tinker, I respect you and I'm grateful for all you've done, but I hope you recognize that the porn could risk the business relations with Hasbro and could cause bad press because it's an all ages con for a little girl cartoon. And those dudes are furryphobic goons.

      1. @gluestick We aren't allowing the porn. That does not mean I have to like this sort of censorship.

        1. @purpletinker It also doesn't mean you have to soapbox to random strangers who bring it up (They posted your replies). It makes you look bad.

          1. @gluestick So not only am I expected to implement decisions I think are ridiculous (like banning porn because some people are terrified of drawings of genitalia), but I'm not even allowed to complain about it? Naah. Sorry. I'm not that much of a politician. I may implement a policy I think is ridiculous, but I'm going to SAY it's ridiculous.

    4. @ponydude2143 I'll just never understand why some people get their knickers in a twist about depictions of sexuality. Even depictions of violence are harmless in and of themselves; it's ACTUAL violence that we need to worry about. Many of the same people who are the most virulently opposed to porn are the same people who are most virulently in favour of needless wars.

    5. @abigpony I played a lot of Skyrim today. Clearly, I now want to go shout "FOOS" at random people on the streets, then shoot them with a flamethrower. (fire spells FTW!)

      1. @purpletinker "You should stop that, it's frightening the people" xD Flame spell, easy way to kill high level mobs at low levels, just running around with a constant stream of damage.

    6. @abigpony If we followed the line of thought which claims that depictions of unwanted activities in literature and art lead to increased instances of said unwanted activities in the real world, we would have to ban most of the great works of literature-- most explicitly including the Bible, which depicts a great deal of killing.

      1. @purpletinker Not to mention incest.

          1. @macpony55 Yes. It's one of the things religious people consider most sacrilegous.

    7. @abigpony Odd thing; the societies that ban the most books tend to NOT be the most advanced ones. I'm sure they have their reasons, but I certainly don't have to agree with them.

    8. @ponydude2143 I... wait, what? You talk about this Biblical 'sin' business like you believe in it.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:35:25 UTC from web
    9. @abigpony I want people to be able to read, write, and play what they want. That's all.

    10. @ponydude2143 We don't turn anypony away.

      1. @purpletinker He's talking about being harsh on the people who believe on a... sectorized policy, with adult content in a separated area. The whole matter could use some diplomacy, yes, so the ones who want some degree of censorship believe they got it, and rest assured they won. That way, they would forget the matter and bother someone else.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:54:46 UTC from web
        1. @nerthos It's banned. BroNYCon has no public opinion on the matter. I have no public opinion any more. Please forget I ever said anything.

          1. @purpletinker That's not exactly was I meant... as in any problem due to different views on a point, at least I believe, and it has worked marvels for me, that ambigous talking is the best course of action, for anyone can understand what they want while not necesarily banning something nor lying.

    11. @abigpony Clearly you believe that freedom of expression is something that needs to be hidden behind closed doors, like sex acts or the popping of pimples. You are entitled to that opinion.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:54:00 UTC from web
      1. @purpletinker Eawwww... Pimples.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:55:33 UTC from web
    12. @abigpony You can go into any newsstand in Manehattan and buy porn. Somehow, society hasn't ground to a screeching halt because of it. That's my point.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:56:01 UTC from web
      1. @purpletinker Forget Porn ... Pimples Must be Stopped!!!

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:58:08 UTC from web
      2. @purpletinker well, i'm not a great fan of these puplic porn myself, but i do not think my judgment is absolute, so i think should do what they want as long as it is not causing any bad to the others

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:59:23 UTC from web
    13. @abigpony Well, if you dislike Manehattan, then obviously I will never see you at BroNYCon. A shame; it's an amazing city.

    14. @ponydude2143 I tried moving him to an entirely separate EVENT after the con closes, and I still had someone who I had previously thought was a really nice guy just leave in a huff.
