              1. @hugs Doin' FINE, I'm just doin some readin' about the status of filesonic, rapidshare etc. That megaupload bust annoys me to no end.

                2. @mahvelpony There's Megasubida now. Also, it's time to fight copyright with torrents. They close Megaupload because they lost $500 million? then, we make them lose $3000 million :D

                  1. @nerthos @lilytheamazingfaintingpony Thanks for that, I'm totally seeing the torrent scene booming because of this now.

                    1. @mahvelpony I started yesterday with the torrent thing, mostly because of Skyrim patches to force people to play using Steam. So I downloaded the cracked patch, and I'm seeding things now.

                      1. @nerthos @mahvelpony They're going to go after that too, we need a free alternative to btguard in order to really get the war going.

        2. @mahvelpony Hello! It sure has been quite some time. Nice to meet you, how've you been?

          1. @milo I've been great Milo, just trying to make sense with all this WEIRD weather.

            1. @mahvelpony bi-polar weather? Good to hear that.

    2. @ponydude We can do it the same way as underground anime RAWs. Or the decentralized bitcoin system, without a real server or head.

Monday, 23-Jan-12 21:34:46 UTC from web
      1. @nerthos 'cause bitcoin worked so so well

        1. @ceruleanspark Doesn't matter, they can't win, because if they close a distribution network, users lose some hours of fun. If we close one of them, they lose money and end up in the streets.

        2. @ceruleanspark In the words of Pinkie Pie, "give it time". It's three years old and works opposite to everyone's idea of money. But I tell you, when physical coins and bank notes go out of production, we're gonna see a surge of bitcoins, mosty spent on porn and drugs, but still.

        3. @ceruleanspark The technology behind it seems to be holding up remarkably well, at the very least. And bootstrapping is always the hardest part for something like this.

      2. @nerthos How do they do the underground RAW thing, anyway? I'm thirty and I can barely find fansubs when the teams have websites, let alone irc and stuff.

        1. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony The fact is, most people don't know how they work, and that's why it works. You have to know the source to find something.

    3. @ponydude Megaupload did provided a way to take down illegal ontent. You just had to report a link and they deleted the file. The bitcoin thing was a P2P network, in wich the coins were distributed to users in exchange of processing power. Basically the users were the servers.
