    1. @yuri you're asking what I thought about emotion versus logic? I completely understand, yes. Dante and other authors of his time actually believed that love and intellect were one and the same. I enjoyed your comments!

    3. @alias oh right.. Dante Alighieri is best known for writing the Divine Comedy which is comprised of 3 books: Inferno, Purgatory, and Paradise.

    4. @alias But if you really want to know more about what I mentioned regarding love and intellect, I suggest reading up about the /dolce stil nuovo/, the Italian style of writing and philosophy to which Dante adhered

    5. @thatonepony haha! I'm not sure I get what you mean. He's basically the father of the Italian language. He brought literature to common ponies rather than just those who knew Latin.

    6. @thatonepony ah right. from a purely plot-based perspective that pretty much fits the bill.

    7. @thatonepony Inferno is very entertaining. The next two are much more philosophical/theological.

    8. @thatonepony sad but true. I only studied his works because I was required to.. I really enjoyed them, but I wouldn't have appreciated them nearly as much if I hadn't been guided through the symbolism used and allusions made by my professor.

    9. @thatonepony I read the series due to playing the video game. I got caught in its majestic texts from the game that i couldnt help myself from picking up the book and giving it a try. I have probably read "The Divine Comedy" a half dozen times.
