@trister Not everything, just things that aren't necessary. Relationships don't help my goals, but consume time. Even if they work perfectly, if you're happy, then you don't feel the urge to work on things for them to be better. You feel you have what you need and can spend the rest of your life in peace. And that's a life wasted.

@nerthos while I must commend you on having goals firmly in mind I disagree on the grounds that relationships can spur people on to do greater things. It's very subjective, so I can imagine for someone like you it would indeed be less of a help, as you say

@dezzierose well if it makes you feel any better I didn't get a single one. Wasn't even wished a happy valentine's day by anyone who isn't on DDN. Just because you don't have a 'proper' valentine doesn't mean you should feel bad about yourself. You still have people who enjoy your company, and even your parents giving you a valentine show that they care. And I personally think it's better to find a proper relationship than to rush into one
